This isn’t confidence, it’s lack of social awareness. If you constantly put yourself in situations where you embarrass yourself without feeling embarrassed, how can you call it confidence? Rejection is embarrassing and it’s one thing to brush that off and be able to call yourself confident, but completely different when you’re being an outright clown and expecting a positive result.

Lol I wish cold approaching wasn't normalized at least in america because of people like this. @JustGoBrandon Жыл бұрын
I had a friend like this when we were in our 20's. He had awkward social awareness, but it worked in his favor. He never hesitated to approach any woman he found beautiful. Our friend group would always cringe as he approached women. He had a 99% failure rate, until one day he met his girl. They are now married with two kids and living happy together. I think most of us find it cringe because there's no reason these women should trust this guy. He's done nothing to garner their attention. If he had a better approach it would be much easier to watch and more people actually would watch it. You can be funny and corny without coming off desperate or beggy. Prepare yourself for the worst response and know what you'll say or how you'll react, but this guy has none of that. The cringe keeps digging deeper and deeper.

I started talking to a guy on Tinder, but there were a few red flags so I decided to end it. I blocked him. It went from every month to now every few months; he still tries to contact me using fake numbers. The only reason I know it’s him is because 1) He’s the only stranger I’ve ever given my phone number out to and 2) He spelled my name wrong from the jump and I never corrected him, so now he’s the only person who contacts me with my name misspelled in that specific way.
@ANM21985 Жыл бұрын
If Drake came up to that girl and asked for her number do you think she'd refuse it and suggest instagram instead? The number 1 reason girls offer guys instagrams when they ask for numbers is because she isn't that into him and If a girl refuses a number exchange and will only offer instagram because she thinks you are "crazy" then she's not that into you or is already thinking about curving you. and if she's not that into you the chances of her actually turning up to go on a date with you is very low.
@aj3706 Жыл бұрын
You're either interested or not interested (there's nothing in between), so when you said "it doesn't necessarily mean not interested" I was expecting to hear a situation where it could mean interest. But your story showed that you weren't interested, no?
@Mimiscellaneous Жыл бұрын
@@ANM21985 No. if you want to be self-defeatist about a girl’s intentions, that’s fine. (To note: Drake isn’t my type, I wouldn’t even entertain it) However, the inherent problem with your argument is that Drake is a public figure. If you meet Drake and he wants your number, you may not know the ‘real’ him, but you already have an idea of who he is, what he does, etc. If things go south, he has a career on the line. He has something to lose. So it’s in his best interest not to be a creep. Not to mention, he doesn’t have to be, as his wealth puts him in a position where he is surrounded by high profile women. Why would he decide to go insane over one rando? I don’t have anything he doesn’t already have. Compare that to the daily guy. You don’t know anything about him, you don’t know if he has anything going on in his life that would persuade him to act right. Especially if you just met him and he’s asking for your number. You could be his singular obsession; and now he has your number - he can easily reverse search and find your information online. Some women have died because they weren’t safe with their information. Anyway, I never said that no girls practice handing their socials to guys they’re not that interested in. I just said that’s not necessarily the reason a woman would do that.
@Mimiscellaneous Жыл бұрын
@@aj3706 It’s not about lack of interest, it’s about safety. If I talk to a guy on socials learn more about him, go on a date. Then I’ll give him my actual number. I gave an experience because I gave him my number because I was interested. But doing this backfired on me - he ended up being weird; and now he has my number. So now I only give out socials first until I know them a bit better.
@ANM21985 Жыл бұрын
@@Mimiscellaneous You appear to be a woman. How many women have you cold approached trying to get a date? I'm guessing none. I've cold approached around 1500, and after doing that many you start to see certain patterns of behavior that keep springing up ...and I don't care what anyone says but if as a guy you ask a random woman out on a date and try to exchange numbers and she refuses and suggests instagram then you might as well not bother to contact her on instagram because her interest in you is not great enough to get her to actually show up on the date when it gets to crunch time, and even if she replies to your instagram message she's only going to end up wasting your time, being flaky and ghosting you somewhere down the line.. Also if you ask a woman out on a date and she says "maybe", and then you exchange numbers you might as well chuck that number away because that date will NEVER happen. I will stop there. but I could literally write a book on how to tell when a girl is not feeling you.. and the girl is that clip was NOT feeling Chris.

I see it in myself, the first girl, I'd probably laugh and brush it off and just wait for the conversation to be over. I know we fear people getting more disrespectful though from calling them out. It's like the guy at the bar where when you turn down a drink he goes "you're ugly anyways." We don't want to hear that ish, so we just try to de escalate in the path of least resistance but it also leaves us with this auto pilot of not calling people out. Exactly. The stereotype that only black or Latina women are naturally built this way and still built that way when they’re older is so false. I’ve seen plenty of white women that are thick and fine as hell even into old age. You can find them in all races, just as commonly.
