Hi Fiona, Filming of the victim in this matter was done minimally because the focus of this incident should be the police officers working themselves and the accused in this matter. That is why there are only two short clips of the victim being treated at the Gurnee Fire Department ambulance, with the rest being filmed of the police interactions with the accused, police/fire vehicles, etc. If you or anyone else has anymore questions or comments, I’d be happy to converse with you/them in this comments thread. Hi Rachael, This channel is to document police/fire incidents such as these that occur in the Lake County, IL area. This incident prompted a large police response and is something that I feel like should be disseminated as local news. All documenting for this incident was done on public property, and the collection of information such as the name of the accused in this matter was obtained from the Gurnee Police Department and through court records available online. Incredibly sick to post something like this. An extremely traumatic situation turned into clickbait. How would you feel if you were in the families shoes, trying to pick up the pieces and deal with everything that comes with something like this? It seems from a comment you made that you see this as something to spread on the internet because of the “large police response”. So you create a 13 minute video showing their home, the victim, and the abuser. If you so desperately didn’t feel the need to garner attention from this video, wouldn’t a photo of the amount of cop cars suffice? Please re-evaluate what you consider “local news”.

Hi Kelly, Of course the incident itself is a bad situation for those involved. With that being said, a large police response like this due to the reported severity of the incident (weapons being involved, for example) means it should be local news in my assessment. Simply photos of the police cars would not suffice because I am there to document the incident as a whole from the public eye. This would include interactions between police and the accused person, as well as interactions between the victim in this case and police/paramedics. That’s why the clips of the victim sitting at the ambulance are short and should not be considered the principal part of my documentation of the incident.
