I have seen that sort of closing with more judges in the last few years - that said it is reasonable to remember that what we see 'streamed' is not necessarily all. I think if you know in your heart you are guilty and your counsel talk about that with you ( and any good defense team would) You would expect to hear it - not every sentence but the overall nature. Juries often have a meeting with the jury after a trial has finalised to take on any concerns - not about the trial so much but about their own individual issues or difficulties emotionallly.

She was greedy and and she could have just told Taylor she stole the money-or used it- and arrange a way to start paying it back. Worst case scenario Taylor filed charges or sued her for the money. She didn't have to kill her over it. Now she will waste the rest of her good/40's and 50's years in prison. IF she ever makes parole what can she do with her life when she gets out? When someone murders another there is never just one victim, ever..... It radiates out into the families and loved ones on both sides, they automatically become victims too and are suffering a prison sentence in their minds for life. The murderer has taken their lives too. Don't kill. Don't kill. Don't kill.

Bill, with all due respects she does not look pure evil, in my opinion. She looks kind of scared. And it seems once the sentencing was complete the scared feeling left her, she willingly gave her fingerprints and let herself be handcuffed, ready to spend the remainder of her life in an orange jumpsuit behind walls, completely managed by others, without any choices, and without any privacy.

@@maximilian200057 Not true: She received a mandatory life without parole sentence for 1st degree murder. The 25 to life was *in addition* for committing that murder with a firearm. Plus, she was already busy serving 7 years, to be followed by 3 years probation, in an unrelated fraud & racqueteering case. She's *never* getting out of prison, no matter what her behavior behind bars is.

Yes, these videos should be taught to Jr high kids so they realize “being a criminal” or “criminal activity” is NOT the norm. They have control over their actions and the control to choose. These things need to be discussed.

Actually the parents should teach their children that. We need teachers to stay in their Lane and focus on education. Please do not give them any more freedom than they already have to raise your children. Get off your butt parents and show your children these videos instead of putting it on the teachers ridiculous.

@Jamesdylandean3 жыл бұрын
I can well understand the weeping of the jury member. It is a heavy weight to make a decision that will effect the rest of a person's life. I was on a jury of a grandfather's DUI with his grandchild with him. He was obviously guilty and the jury found this to be true, unanimously. But, I was terribly sad over a grandfather being convicted of taking his grandchild out for ice cream. I hope he got help that would prevent this. But, after the verdict was read, the judge called us into the jury room and notified us that this was his sixth charge.
