This guy is from Monroe, Ga. He came into a gun shop a week and a half after this happened. He had the armorer look the exact AR he did this with over to see why it wasn't firing. He was in a wheelchair and sweating because he didn't want to take pain meds. They did not re attach his leg. The armorer had to clean the blood off of it. I asked him where the blood came from because I didn't know who he was at the time, snd thought maybe he had laid it on an animal he killed while hunting, and he said he didn't want to talk about it. After he left, the armorer goes, "that's the guy who blew his leg off with tannerite and a lawn mower. Dude is a frikkin idiot.

So pressure will always go the easiest way and push the lightest thing. This works for guns because the projectile is lighter than the action and so the projectile is propelled through the barrel, as for the barrel analogy the lid is weaker than the rest of barrel, the upside down barrel moves because the barrel is lighter than the ground. I don't know about the lawm mower but I'm assuming the blade of the mower was secured in a weaker way than the rest of the mower so it went flying, but then again I'm no physicist nor mechanic and that's about everything I know when it comes to something like this.
