Man blows up blazer motor and throws rod

This guy blew up his 4.3 Vortec motor in his blazer

@@conrad6639 That's irrelevant. There was nothing wrong with it. I'm beginning to understand why so many from other countries have such an issue with us as Americans. Is it any wonder, with so many destroying perfectly good stuff just for the hell of it?

@@JTsMechanicShop5748 Went back and listened to it with studio-quality headphones, and I can just barely hear a little rod slap-back when it's revved. I bought an Impala with a 3800 that had a similar knock (on 20W-50, sounded like a thrashing machine on 5W-30). I stand corrected, but still no sense in destroying a rebuildable engine. The newer inlines suck, and I'll believe the LS-based 4.3 is a better engine when I see it.

was a bad motor. hear the rods hit the cylinder on the 1st rev? it was trash already.
