IDK if its as hard as you think, i know its not "easy" but basic engeineering and a lot of googling will get you where you need to be. The hardest part of this project is owning a home machine shop. Large Lathe, CNC machine, Tig and Mig welders... those are all very expensive. Then the square stock he used was not cheap either. I do know someone that built a scaled down replica of a Tiger Tank for painball... including a fully rotating turret, multiple seats for gunner, capitan and driver. Also had a fully kitted air system for the main gun to function, beacuse it wasnt a paintball marker, it was a breach loading canister shot cannon that held a full pod of paint. The captains seat had twin mounted coupled markers (double trouble). The propulsion system was a larger motor i think, it also used hydraulics and the turret was electric powered. The guy that made it was 20 or 22? I forget. Its only been since 2007, but we hotboxed it every night. XD So i get to say that ive hotboxed a functional tiger tank. Woo~

The kid should have been beside him during the whole process. Would have been a great learning experience. My father always made me help in any home repair, vehicle repair, plumbing, etc. Even though I didn't appreciate it at the time, I learned how to fix anything.

Amazing build. The main weakness is the sighting camera mounted outside on the barrel. A few direct hits might neutralize it. Should include a redundant protected camera and an iron sight capability IMO.

Awesome job from a very talented man. This must have taken an enormous amount of time, not only to build, but design. I wish I had the knowledge to be able to build things like this in my garage. When I was a little kid, my Nextdoor neighbor made a go-cart out of wood and an old lawnmower engine. It was probably the ugliest thing on 4 wheels, and was probably pretty slow, but it was totally awesome to us boys, and we couldn’t wait our turn to ride in the passenger seat as my buddy drove us boys around the streets. My buddy thought his father was the best, as I’m sure this kid thought his dad was awesome for building this tank. Again, awesome job!
