There clearly is relevance to 115 which in effect undermines PL. The PL argues that City broke PSR and engaged in 'financial doping' by the owner putting his money through sponsorship deals. But APT hearing showed that the PL is saying that other club owners can also engage in 'financial doping' and break PSR through 'loaning' money but they won't be punished. How is that not relevant to 115?

The amendment that will be made to APT rules regarding shareholder loans, the Premier League had a vote on that when APT rules were being put in place, and guess who voted to not include shareholder loans? City won't get any compensation, their sponsorships were blocked because they were from associated party's, the rules on associated party transactions were upheld. Shareholder loans weren't included as part of APT due to a vote, Man City were one of the clubs who voted not to have shareholder loans included. Interest that should be paid relating to shareholder loans can't be retroactively applied, so affected clubs will have until the beginning of next season to make arrangements. Clubs that are already compliant with UEFA's PSR rules will already have included interest from shareholder loans so they won't be affected by the amendment. Any lawyer worth their billable hours is going to go and make 25 arguments when one is needed. And if u go back you will see city only went to court when rules were amended post Newcastle, not before. So no what you’re saying about city wanting atp thrown out in its entirety simply isn’t true, if it was they would’ve taken them to court years ago. Err Net spend is real it just doesn't tell the full story of a clubs finances. For example it won't consider the wages you've saved from a player leaving. So if a player had 2 years left on 50k a week and you sold him then you've took 5.2 million off your future expenses as well as the transfer fees etc which is why the PL systems are becoming more Americanized with psr. PSR is basically a salary cap but its combined with transfer fees too. American sports have salary caps and luxury taxes.

Net spend is just for a time period, you can choose how long you want to make it, whether it's a single transfer window or 5yr period. All it means is profit & loss. Which means something, but it's not top priority, because lets say you build up a massive balance in your banl account, then spend 20% of that on a big purchase, are you now broke because it says you've lost money for the current period? Or you could be £100 in debt, make a profit of £10 rn, but guess what, you're still £90 in debt. It's current vs non current in accounting. Basically short term vs long term
