There is much anticipation about tales from his childhood through to his time as Prime Minister during the Coronavirus pandemic. But how much of the real Boris do we get, or is this book just a chance to line his pockets as many expect?

I'm surprised to hear that Farage has to be interviewed by the media because he gets lots of votes. He appeared regularly on TV before he was an MP. Also, the same should then apply to the leaders of the Lib Dem and Green parties, but they rarely get interviewed.

The Joker movie isn't really a superhero movie. The lead actor is named after a comic book character, but it was really a Taxi remake. BTW Just finished listening to 'How we solve murders' on Audible - really enjoyed it, unlike Joker hopefully this will have many sequels.

The issue with Boris is that his 'charm' does not transcend overseas, because overseas he is just weird and he doesn't have the hotness to make up for the weirdness. Overseas is where the money is at. So he is limited to UK reality TV. However, the problem with that is, he is got this far by not really giving very much, including in this book, so no one is really seeing the real Boris. But he cannot afford for people to see the real Boris because the 'act' is the selling point. This happened to Nigel Farage with 'I'm a celeb'. In the end, he was just a boring guy with very little to say outside of BS he spews. He had a couple of run in's with people who questioned his views on immigration, which made a couple of headlines (mainly Daily Mail), but thereafter he just became another boring contestant. It turned out, he wasn't the everyman from down the pub, he was just a boring guy who could useful in a pub quiz. Even his PR team had to accuse ITV of 'intentionally cutting him out' of the show. Which was true, but it was because he was boring, nothing nefarious. Why would they cut out their biggest pay check?

Running a charity is a great business. People give you money and it’s virtually unregulated, you can bill any expense to it and handover minimal amounts to the cause. I would rather help someone in my community directly than ever donate to a unregulated charity.

yes and no Graham, unless you are staggeringly rich there are a lot of things you wouldn't be able to help with. Funding research for example, providing care and giving support to those with serious health conditions are just a couple that spring to mind.

Joker 2 failed because Todd hated his audience and wanted to destroy what they came to the first movie for. Marina can be nasty and say it was for Incels but that’s reductive and spiteful. The Joker resonated with people who had been downtrodden and felt the world was just kicking them at every turn. Right now that’s men, so making a sequel that tears that down and is in a format that generally doesn’t appeal to men is lunacy. It’s like Star Wars. Your audience is primarily men so I’ll tell you what we’ll do, we’ll keep trying to make the force female and shoehorn in a load of ambiguous “everyone is evil from a certain perspective” nonsense. I was criticised last week for suggesting that the Phillip Schofield episode promoted homophobia. In six days, it has become the most-viewed episode on the channel with over 300% more comments than the previously most-viewed episode. It seems the producers and presenters were aware that the topic would provoke this response but made the irresponsible decision to proceed with the episode.
