This was not their fault and with both sides proclaiming victory with the ruling it was hard to see who "won" when the story broke, but on reflection of 24 hours or so it seems like City did not win anything. They won on getting the 2024 rules thrown out but the 2021 APT rules were not found to be unlawful so they were not thrown out and they cannot have a tea cup sponsor from UAE for £1b per year. The other point they won on was one that they were opposed to initially as well so not sure how owner loans is a win for them when it does not benefit them but other clubs that made use of it.
