This is why I get a little annoyed about the stereo type house cat. And yes, I'm going to get into trouble and people are going to start shouting, but it's about treating each cat as an individual! It will also depend individually on other factors like where you live. City or rural , country to country. But overall, cats just want to be with their owners ....and in their business!😂 And they are extremely adaptable! Like in the far East where a man drives a public bus with his cats or in the US with their lorry driver, my thing is not to limit and to try and give the cat it's best life!

I was working at a vet clinic when a couple of people came in with this very tiny kitten. It had been found in a paper bag on the beach. It was crawling with fleas, but the kitten was too young to use any flea products on. So several times a day, I would put him under the tap to try and wash the fleas off. This took a while but eventually worked. I took the kitten home, and every time I had a bath, he would come in the tub with me. As far as he was concerned, that was normal for a cat. Those ignorant people who say you are miss treating Frosty are eejits. Ignore them. You are doing a fantastic job of taking care of your family. ❤ 🇨🇦

There are certain breeds of cats that absolutely love water, but most of the time it’s an individual thing. You guys introduced water at a young age and showed him it wasn’t scary

van cats and bengals are the most common ones. Anytime a bengal litter went, we had to warn the people, to put a towel under the water bowl for the 3ft splash zone. They love playing with and will go in the shower with you...This is not a safe option.

Prolly because they were told the stereotype of cats being rather nonaffectionist and independent to a point that they're only interested in you because food provider. That's only half true. Other times, they want you to pet them unendingly even though you have stuff to do 😆

I'm actually really surprised he loves the water bc most water-loving, swimming cats are short-haired. Having luscious fur seemed like it would be heavy to swim in but he absolutely looks like he's super relaxed and enjoying it for sure.

On the topic of cat allergies, there are a few breeds of cats that are hypoallergenic, like Shpinxes, Rexes, and Norwegian Forrest cats. Not sure what breed Frosty is, but I can understand that guy's concerns at the time. Oddly enough, it's not the fur that causes the allergies to flair up, it's their saliva, and since cats groom themselves on a regular basis, they can be a walking flower pollen of sorts.

My tuxedo cat comes uninvited to the shower with me and takes his own shower. He loves water---to play in it, to take showers, and to generally make a mess as he paddles it out of any container just because. I use a pet drinking fountain for him, my other cat and the dog because he loves to drink from running water. The other two? Meh.
