What a shame, and I always thought this country had taken great strides against water pollution. Here on the East coast it's the same problems. After heavy rains local sewage treatment plants cant handle the Extra influx of water and it results In untreated discharges into local water ways. Uncontrolled development along the coasts doesn't help either.
@bobvila64373 жыл бұрын
This always happens. I ask myself why hasn't anyone done something to prepare sewage treatment plants for storms with some kind of overflow recervoirs and prevent the overflow that results in raw sewage ending up in the ocean and washing up onto the beaches. Also the extra influx of storm water could probably be diverted into clean reservoirs and filtered. Any use would be better than this tragedy. Here in California, we recently had such a spill and a few beaches were closed right in the middle of summer.

so if 2 people within 1 beach season get flesh eating bacteria and 1 nearly dies and nearly had his leg amputated and the other did have leg amputated and then died but they are not closing down this beach and studying what is in the water and why?If 2 people were attacked by a shark they would close the beach!!!!!!!! this is crazy!
