Y'all are missing the point. Plenty of people have heart attacks that are outwardly healthy. But if you smoke and eat fatty foods every meal and don't exercise....you're heading for cardiac arrest. My friend did this for 20 years straight. I eat whatever I want, but it should all be in moderation. Not just living on crap processed food full of microplastics every single day.

Yeah, because a big mac itself has around 540 calories and he eats around 10 a week which adds up to around 5400 calories a week. People are hearing "fast food" and automatically think that means you will get fat. If you need 2000-2500 calories a day and all you eat during the day is a Big Mac with fries, you have a net caloric deficit and will actually lose weight (not that the food is actually healthy). If you keep your calories in check, you will stay thin.
@Yomama4536 Жыл бұрын
Staying thin isn't necessarily the same as being healthy. This guy is in a nutrient deficit. I wonder if he can even get a hard on.

@William Denny that stuff is pretty negligible and mostly BS though. reality 1000 cal of mcdonalds and 1000 cal of vegan salad recipe is just the same. the people who rave about sugar spike insulin level hormone whatever are usually trying to sell products so it's in their interest to overstate what rather than how much you eat. but it is bad for gut biome and therefore mental health, that's true

If you really break down a Big Mac, it is fairly balanced. Protein, carbs, fats. Each one is 550-600 calories, so you can eat 2 a day without causing any damage. The biggest issue is they're high in sodium, so check your blood pressure, and drink plenty of water. Replace the soda with water or something much lower in sugar. I think the soda is much worse for you than the Mac

Fast food doesn't have transfats these days. The real issue is not just sodium but sodium:potassium imbalance. Big Macs have a K:Na ratio of about 1:2.5 when a more optimal potassium ratio would be the inverse, 2.5:1. Salty foods add up in diet and they are oftentimes not compensated for by adequate potassium intake and any form of electrolyte imbalance interferes with successful heart functioning over time. Big Macs are also not low in the refined sugars themselves, at 9 grams or 1/5th the average can of soda.

@dennisrosenlof2829 Жыл бұрын
@@tylerholshouser7320 great questions, I believe that the taste is the same. When I started eating macs the burger was as big as the bun now it could be hidden by the pickle. I almost stopped eating macs in the late 80s when McDonald's started making all the hamburgers in the morning then microwave them per order. My local McDonald's would make them fresh for me. Then during the pandemic only drive thru as open and the quality suffered and I cut back big time. Today I only eat maybe once a month.

There is absolutely nothing unhealthy about McDonalds per se. The issue is that people are typically getting a massive a massive dose of sugar and starches. The same is also true of what people consume when they go to the grocery store. When I go to McDonalds, I always get a burger minus the buns. Sometimes I'll get their fries or even nuggets. I never get a soft drink unless it's diet. People have this irrational snobbish view that anything on their menu is basically made of poison, which is absurd.

@@rwwf2036 Nothing wrong with saturated fat. Or salt really. We consumed 5x the conventionally accepted safe limit with no issue. Worst thing about the burger is the bun &/or sugar in the ketchup. The problem today is oxidized omega-6/seed oil & sugar + additives/chemicals.

Because it’s one small burger, it’s not gonna cause any harm. You’re more likely to get a stroke from eating a massive steak everyday.
