It all depends...I've lived in one city my entire life and was a walker for the longest time, so I got to know the streets incredibly well. At one point, I applied to be a taxi driver and, as part of their questions, they asked where a certain road was...not only did I pinpoint it with a second's thought, but I also told them that the road was spelled "incorrectly" (instead of "Pierce," it's "Peirce").
