Back in the late 80s, my first date with my now wife was at Pizza Hut, entire bill was probably $10-$12. We spent hours talking, getting to know one another and just enjoying each other's company. It amazing how much has changed in a couple of generations. You young fellas have it way rougher than I ever did.

I've been married 20 years and my wife is the same way. Heck she didn't even want a big wedding because she said it's ridiculous to waste a bunch of money on a wedding when that money would be better used towards a future. My wife unfortunately suffered a major health emergency that almost took her from me. For a long time it prevented her from being active so she gained weight. She worked incredibly hard to get healthy again and now walks 10-20 miles a day just to exercise. She's been eating a lot healthier too. Because she's been cooking healthier meals I wanted to buy her a very nice Japanese kitchen knife. I spent 300 on this knife. She loves it but had a hard time knowing I spent that much on a knife for her. I love my wife because she's loyal, feminine, supportive, not money hungry, a great mother, and submissive. One of the first qualities that attracted me to her was her willingness to sacrifice in order to make the people she loves happy. That is not a very common characteristic among western women today.

The VA disability system is outrageous. It took 8 months for them to call. They called from privated numbers and during my work hours while I was underground. They wouldn’t leave messages saying when they would try to call back, so I can be available. They are still working from home. If they don’t get ahold of you after two attempts they put (refused contact) on your claim. They is no way for me to get ahold of them through the VA, state or federal help. No one could give me direction on how to proceed. It’s disheartening.
