A few things from this video that I wanted to address for clarification: 1. This was 8 months of chess, not checkers. We just didn't recover the money and take the money back to the people who lost it. There was a lot of research and work over this period. We even sent letters to Evan and others before we went to visit but we never heard anything. We can't show all of this but, the video has to be longer to show the effort that went into this. Rarely does anyone get the opportunity to intercept and return money to people who have lost it. I'm super proud of what myself and the team accomplished here. 2. We broke up a scammers web. We contacted every person that was scammed and stopped them from being scammed. That's why it was crucial that we got a hold of these people. If I was being scammed out of $300k and I wasn't aware of it, I'd be grateful that someone would show up to my house to help save me from a scam (and give me a check for $3,500 or $10k). 3. Baiting the scammer over 8 months allowed us to get information about them like their IP addresses, voice, contact information that leads to people that they were getting money from in order to get an arrest. Again, this is chess. 4. Knocking on people's doors was a necessity. No one responded to phone calls or letters (except Douglas). We had to stop the scam. Art can't help that he's a tall guy and English is his second language. It's weird that people are making that an issue and ignoring that fact that we're helping people...We also always show up with a brochure and cards to show them who we are. Additionaly, you can always see that we show a lot of compassion when we sit down with these people. 5. We're going to do more and more of these. In order to have the biggest impact that we can have, we have to take cases all of the way. The only way to do this is to take the approach that we did to uncover the scam. I care more about having an impact than being a 'KZbinr' and that will always be the case. We hope to make content that is entertaining, but helping out one person at a time realizing that they're being scammed doesn't make as significant of an impact that I truly believe we have the ability to do. That’s why these videos are very important. Thank you all for watching and supporting us - David

If two guys dressed in black show up and my door, being kinda vague, asking where they can find someone, I'm not saying a damn thing. They really need to change their approach. Start by introducing yourself, give them your names, tell them who you are, have business cards with contact information to give out, tell them that you think the person you're looking for has been the victim of a scam and you're there to help them etc. Don't say things like "we need to find him because he might be in trouble" - that just sounds like trouble!

I can't stand it. He is very lucky to have the other guy around to help him intimidate people, because if he didn't, I bet he'd have a dislocated jaw or something like that by this point. They give off the vibe that part of the reason they do their job is so they can look cool, and it sort of undermines the humanitarian aspect of them trying to confront scammers. But hey, I think it's still nice that they do it, and I'm sure they've helped many people and truly do care about the welfare of others, so perhaps the tough guy persona is just a bonus for them...I could be completely wrong in my feelings 🤷🏼♀

Maybe some graphics to explain who is related to who and where the money was taken from would have been helpful. And I don't like the approach of going around the neighborhood, and asking people about evan, telling him he is "in trouble". The neighbors look very uncomfortable and two men, dressed in black, knocking at my door like that would be immensly intimidating. If I was the older lady in the video I would be terrified about the possibility of you being burglars trying to check out the property. The guy from Trilogy Media looks like a hitman & with his demeanor & approach to situations he would IMMEDIATELY get me off-side even if I did have some useful info. He acts like a bouncer with no authority & wants to throw his weight around. He may be nice after knowing him, but first impression in these situations are crucial & I think he may actually put the investigation 2 steps back where it could be with his aggressiveness in the street pursuits/info gathering.

No the investigation of todays story took 8 months to complete. Remember they do multiple cases at once some take longer than others and they have to wait for stuff. That’s how they film movies.

I will never understand how some people can be happily married for 40+ years and as soon as their partner passes away they automatically hop on the dating train like their partner never existed. It’s mind blowing. I don’t think I would ever be able to move on without my partner if I was happily married for half a century. Even ten years is a long time. It would take me at least half that time to be okay with talking to someone new. Let alone being in a full fledged relationship. Sending money to someone I don’t know would NEVER EVER EVERRRRRR happen. Even if they were dying. It’s not my concern and definitely not my job to take care of them and pay for their lifestyles. This is probably why they usually target older people. D

In my opinion, going into peoples houses (and filming their spaces from outside and inside) without prior notice is inappropriate. It would be better to ask them to meet up in some public space
@-xxMelissaxx-6 ай бұрын
Totally agree. It's 100% inappropriate to show the outside of these people's homes and businesses. Just blurring the address doesn't do a damn thing. It's super identifiable. And those people had absolutely nothing to do with this. It was pointless to include it.
@Malibustacy19826 ай бұрын
Do you really think they just post it without getting the person they are filming's approval?! An approval with a legal binding signature attached. Are you new to the internet?? Come on, lets get real here. The one dude came to the door without pants, I don't think he cares, but again, I can guarantee without hesitation that approval was given before they posted any of these victims. If anything they should be sharing, is the Nigerian jerks full information. That way those of us that like to play with them for revenge can do so. But for real, you cannot be serious, editing doesn't show that part of it. It's quite possible and plausible they went to the door without cameras, told the man what was up and they filmed it with his permission. No pants and all.

I figured out how to make a romance scammer cry. Tell them that you had been wealthy but gave everything to a homeless person. I was talking to a scammer who of course was in love with me from day one. Well, he asked me for money within days of meeting. I told this guy that I had no money because after my husband passed away that I was tired of wealth so I met a homeless man outside McDonald's who was an Iraq war veteran and I just signed my ranch and other property over to him and I cleaned my bank accounts out except for what I needed to live on until I could find work and I just live on what I earn working at Walmart. He was completely flabbergasted and kept asking me why? Why? I could have given it to him. He was literally crying. He stopped talking to me after that. It was all a big fat lie. I am not nor have I ever been wealthy but it was fun causing a scammer to cry like a little girl with a skinned knee. I've caused a few of them to cry and every time one of them contacts me I will continue to upset them. I love what y'all do. I just subscribed and will binge watch all your videos. Thanks ☺️

If people I don't know come around asking for information on my landlord's whereabouts--or anyone's, for that matter--I would not even dream of giving them any info at all. I'm amazed that people think this is ok. Don't blab people's personal business unless you thoroughly inderstand the situation and all parties involved. Otherwise, you could be responsible for someone being assaulted or even killed by their stalker, former partner, person they owe money to, etc. If someone has a legitimate need to get in contact with someone else, they can call or text that person and wait for a response. If it's a legit emergency, they can call the police. If someone told a rando where I was, where I could typically be found, etc. they would no longer be my tenant/friend/SO.
