So they let the thief bail out using the proceeds from his crimes and then scratch their heads when he jumps bail. Gee, go figure.

I mean yeah, but also still technically innocent till proven guilty in court. That's the problem with this particular part of the law.

How low to steel a working mans tools. I know it happened to me 6 years ago. My tool trailer was taken and never recovered, and then to add to the insult, the insurance company never paid out. So many loopholes insurance companies have to get out of paying a claim. I even took them to court, but then they played the arbitration card and still got screwed. In the end i took money out of saving to replace a 7 x 14 trailer, compound miter saw, table saw, generator, compressor, and hand & battery tools. Man, that was a hit in the gut but still had to work.

Ridiculous that this has went on so long that many had to replace their tools 10x over and they are very expensive to begin with. At least they have been caught and they’re not the only ones involved who are they sending and selling the tools to? That’s a whole hell of a lot of tools is what draws the question.

Jose?? No Wayyyy...WE had some similar named individuals robbing OUR company as we employed them, and who knows what other companies they stole from while on the projects. I'm talkin about 2500 Rotary lasers and 700 line lasers, impacts all of it. In very little time..found some of the missing tools on a residential project with our stamp on them eventually. They were all similarly named people receiving these stolen goods. Go figure, right?! Anyway, that's how we pinned down who it was, those guys told right away who sold it to them...He had no fear what so ever. They were eventually turning up in pawn shops all over...This wasn't just a few hundred buck of stuff. It was 50k worth of new tools.. Thanks KAMELa
@paulkurilecz42093 ай бұрын
So how long was this theft ring going on? Why not prosecute other people? Basically it sounds like this guy was operating a "pawn" shop for other criminals. If I were the DA, I would start stacking the sentences with each stolen tool being a separate offense. Give us some names and we might start taking some of the offenses off of the table. Think about it for a minute, each tool represents at least a misdemeanor with maybe a 30 day county jail term, now multiply that times 18,000.
