Serving leftovers in a restaurant also violates several health codes and therefore is highly illegal, especially out of a trash can. If they get sick, they can sue. Food tampering is again, a Felony with a minimum of five, maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted. Will lose operating license for sure,shutting down the restaurant and therefore laying off everyone: punishing the innocent employees along with the guilty ones. I'd be calling the Health Department myself if I caught him and/or the police.

The Food Safety Officer will make sure that restaurant will shut down and the workers who were involved will not find job. If that type scenario happens, the restaurant would shut down and the permits will be revoked. @Dramatizeme, I know about this because I worked in a restaurant before.
