@sarah.j.7773 жыл бұрын
@@autumnburton2091 CPT here, you're definitely over simplifying. While consuming less calories & exercising will cause most people to lose weight, men do generally shed pounds at twice the rate women do. Our bodies are governed by our endocrine (hormonal) systems & womens' bodies are naturally more resourceful at retaining fat, especially during certain phases of life. Male testosterone is an accelerant in a variety of ways, including its effect on their metabolic rate.
@autumnburton20913 жыл бұрын
@@sarah.j.777 obviously I was oversimplifying, I literally wrote one sentence. But regardless, my point still stands. Men obviously have a higher BMR due to being taller and having a higher muscle mass, but still calories in calories out applies to everyone. The rate or speed each person loses weight is irrelevant to my point that men and women can use the same approach to losing weight.

They “don’t work” because people are taking them inconsistently.... they set an unrealistic expectation from these pills and get depressed when they don’t achieve those goals in the time they wanted to. Clean Eating is the operative term here. Walking doesn't matter in that sense. If he had eaten like before he'd still be fat. You can't outrun the fork and certainly not outwalk it.

I never changed my diet , walked 15-20 miles a day though and lost over 100lbs
@r3a1itygamezz144 жыл бұрын
Derrick Cover that’s because you were burning more calories than you consumed. You must’ve had a stationary lifestyle and so when you’ve changed your lifestyle to walking more you’re burning more calories
@followyourideas4 жыл бұрын
Healthy eating doesn't matter. It's calories in vs calories out. You can get fat eating bananas and nuts.
@followyourideas4 жыл бұрын
@@johannesdolch I'm talking about losing weight not about being healthy. You can lose weight eating Oreos and fat eating avocados. It's just the unbreakable laws of thermodynamics. 100 grams of nuts is about 600 calories. If I ate 400 grams of nuts, and I could eat much more, I'll get fat.

Walking really works if it's vigorous. When I was younger I used to walk from my job to home (5 km) everyday and I got from obese to 77 kilos ( my ideal weight) in just 6 months. Now 16 years later im doing it again and so far lost 8 kilos in 1 and half month.
