The police do all they can to arrest, once arrested they are handed over to the lockup, the judges release them with an appointed court date which can be a year away... lengthy trials and lawyers result in a slap on the wrist (such as this case was)...they are free to cavort and commit more crime..don't blame the cops whose hands are tied, and they are not there to babysit...lobby your MP and get TRUDEAUS soft on crime changed, do your part instead of complaining about the police

@@ralphkilloran8065 That is a civil matter. When you loan property to someone there's an implied contract that they will return it. If they fail to do so they are in breach of contract. The way to deal with the issue is to to take them to court. The police only get involved if there's a court order that needs to be inforced. For example if the judge orders the immediate return of your property the police would accompany you to ensure your rifles were returned.

Our community has been dealing with a Dutch farmer that has been vandalizing and damaging people's property in order to gain more acreage and few people already expressed thoughts of taking the matters into their own hands.

To be fair, if he had planned it better he might have got them and not had to be the 3rd victim. It doesn't sound like the victims would be worth a lot of police resources. What I disagreed with was how close he was to a daycare when he capped them. That seems downright unneighbourly.
