Dick Burnett has one hell of a life story. Lived through WW1, WW2 & Vietnam. I think that losing his eyesight to a mugger and turning to music saved his life. With his vision He would have been in his early 30s when WW1 started and likely would have been drafted. Survival rate was not very high for that war. He died in 1977 at 93. That’s wild. This song was published in 1913 but without him diving deeper into his career, this song would have been forgotten about. Makes me think of how many unheard of classics we’re missing out on.

I must say that your tutorial for tab recognition is the must superior quality video I have ever seen on you tube . The way you allow a bar to travel across the staza bar as you play each note formation is the most awesome presentation for beginners and even those like myself wanting to get a better understand of how to read Tab . Thanks for your attention of quality . Thinking of getting lessons from a youtube teacher . You are top of my consideration.

Hey Devin! I'll check them out as soon as possible! I am just done with the bassic chords in minor and major, so rhythm will be my first target I guess :) Are there any picks or strings that are especially suited for country/bluegrass?
@countryguitaronline7 жыл бұрын
Awesome, hope you like the course. For strings, I'd recommend Elixer Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze Mediums (or lights if you prefer)..great strings that are soft to the touch and last a long time. For picks, I like BlueChip picks. They're really pricey ($35 a pick!) but very nice. I play on the BlueChip STP50 most days and then also the TP60. For a cheaper version of this pick, check out the Dunlop Primtone 1.4mm here www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/dunlop-primetone-triangle-sculpted-plectra-3-pack/j12058000001000?cntry=us&source=3WWRWXGP&gclid=COTsxMTCjtMCFYK2wAod6J8E2Q&kwid=productads-adid^156403583515-device^c-plaid^143220055002-sku^J12058000001000@ADL4MF-adType^PLA

Hi! I bought a new guitar with a rose wood neck, but I do not play it to much, because I don´t like the dirt in the fretboard, how many times I have to clean the fretboard? it affect the sound? love your style, cheers
@countryguitaronline8 жыл бұрын
I know what you're talking about...when the dirt builds up on the neck after a while. I don't think it affects the sound but it could make your fingers stick to the frets some and slow you down. I usually clean the fretboard every 4 months or so...pull all the strings off..use a soft towel to scrape off the dirt and put some lemon oil on the fretboard to condition the rose wood. Hope that helps! - Devin
