While it isn’t illegal to carry weapons, seems like once the police started talking to the suspect they determined he was a danger, they said “mental” troubles……which can seem vague, but the police deal with these type of people. As for carrying explosives in your car, idk if explosives are legal to possess. Now also that the suspect has confessed to wanting to attack a church, seems like a good thing they questioned him and arrested him when they did.
