A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's day morning 18th Feb 1866.
A useful preacher will study God's Word, and lovingly communicate its truth to people. Spurgeon, however, went further. He studied the ways of men and women, and could describe with frightening accuracy the hardness of our hearts.
Some preachers unwittingly encourage those who feel too hurt to forgive. Here, however, the preacher resists every bitter thought with all his might.
