When mothers don't like their child's spouse, it is because they imagine themselves with that person! If they can't see themself with them, THEN THEY ABSOLUTELY WOULDN'T WONT THEIR PRECIOUS CHILD with the said person. Children listen to your parents when they say He/She isn't the right person for you!

Went to school with zach he was a couple years ahead of me, we knew some of the same ppl I always knew him as a piece of shit and druggie ran with a rough crowd. Never had anything going for him in life, not surprised at all he ended up where he is now.... At least 23 arrests from 2005 to 2015 when this happened from drugs, multiple dui's, violation of emergency protective orders, and even caught an additional assault in jail after being sentenced for this heinous crime. He is an absolute scum bag and they should of given him the needle, feel sorry for Marilyn. Certain ppl are unreedamable and should never be allowed free with the rest of normal society.

Men who harm their intimate partner whether a man or a woman very sadistically and the same for women harming their intimate partner should be forced into a psychiatric evaluation for psychopathy. If testing positive for the traits and or with violent history of assaults should be sentenced MUCH more severely because there is no cure, there is NO fixing these monsters! Jail if necessary for life. Otherwise, if released a tracking monitor and strict curfew etc.

@donnabivenour7296 "Uh, correction," in the famous words of no less than Grandma Dynamite, this happily survived ultra-traumatized lady was "abused to the" LOWEST degree - save that only of rape & death. 🪓I appreciate yours & all those who support making whatever THIS is, as Captain Solo said it, "a permanent resident!" of 1 of our most Sweet & Tender lockups: Angola, Parchman Farm, "the Walls of Raiford," that paradise island of Rikers, Pelican Bay [ooh that joint got the wrong name], Menard, Dannemora - even squeezed in Way Out There among the melting tundra 🤬 of Alaska where the prettily named Spring Creek gots lots of exactly the opposite in its guest numbers. Thanks to 2 comments I come to before this 1, I am "spared!" as the new Imperious Leader said to Baltar, on his conditional release to help track down "the battlestar called Galactica," anymore than just an initial few seconds of babbling from that loathsome Hansen individual - 1 of those beings [especially out of "nbc"] whose voices I find absolutely repulsive, the ad libbed idiocy he rants therein not helping 👺& to be disappointingly informed that Whatzis didn't get LWOP at the least "for this outrage," as stated by John Robinson. Well, "Some Beats None!" in my own longtime philosophy of uplift & hope, and she & we can take grim satisfaction that in 1 fashion or other, "this ... this 'person' here!" will someday get served piping hot a Heapin Helpin of rich creamy karmic justice - I like a good shanking party or the contraction of some sexy social disease of which there ain't no cure. "Guess wh[at]'s elected!" there, to borrow off Mother Endora herself. 🤧All the very best to her for the fullest recovery possible, Moving On Down The Line with her colors flying & music playing, food cooking & drinks flowing; because that'll be as painful to this dumbasshole as being passed around like the perfect little prison wife for the high price of a couple dozen - hell, maybe fewer! - commissary snack cakes: her living well will be the classic Best Revenge of all. 🥳🥳

The Edward Cornwallis statue in Halifax was finally taken down in 2018, finally due to his role in offering 10 guineas per scalp,or capture of any Micmaw natives , to any Canadian during colonization times. We may all be a product of our history, but we don't further glorify such past heinous horrendous practices in Canada . It's easy to judge, and what you say is of course good advice, but for those who haven't experienced it, it's hard to conceive of the mindset of a woman being stalked by a former lover. I come from a family of nurses but my cousin who worked in the ICU had the worst stories. She spoke of one woman, 23 years old, had multiple visits and they got to know her and understood why it was so hard for her to leave but still they all tried to help and warned her. Every time she came in injuries got worse and worse. I won’t describe because it haunts me. Less than a year later on an unrelated case a cop who knew her and was there with the nurses informed them she was found dead. They’ve got to be scarred for life. I’m sure her babies will be too.. I’ve been very cautious and able to see signs of a potential abuser. I know nurses are tough as nails but some things really get to you and I hope you have an amazing support system and a good work life balance and I hope you have the most wonderful life. @TheDarcyChloe PTSD is a heck of a thing to suffer:(. I’m truly so sorry for what you have endured sweetie. Counseling has helped some, but truly just learning coping methods to implement, when things trigger it, and trying to identify the triggers as to be better prepared to face them when they do come on. But funny thing…sometimes the panic and fear and despair of reliving a moment will hit ya like a mac truck out of nowhere. I’m sending you lots of light & love through all of your pain and suffering😢❤️❤️❤️. Your 2nd husband and angel, is such a fresh raw wound. May you feel his presence and him watching over you. I may not know you but want you to know that I care for you! I will send a prayer up for you to feel comfort, hope, and peace🥺🥹. And continue to heal everyday until you feel whole again. Marilyn's mom felt something off right from the beginning. Always listen to your mother's warning and advice, a mother's instinct should never be ignored. 😢 Years ago I was in a relationship with an extremely abusive and toxic partner I didn't realize at that time, my brother told me he didn't feel good about it after meeting that man. Though I don't always have the best relationship with my brother, I went through hellish few years and I learn to never doubt what my family and loved ones have to say.

First of all Marilyn 100% pointed the finger at him for the crime. Second, a plastic surgeon is an expert witness who knows the difference between a dog attack and a knife wound. A dog attack would crate jagged tears in the skin. A knife cut would be a clean slice. A normal individual with common sense would know that. He is such a disgusting piece of trash. He committed a crime, blamed a dog, disfigured and almost killed her on purpose yet based is defense solely on the fact the incident was so traumatic that Marilyn couldn't remember everything. However, the judge and jury saw what he did and that says it all. Maybe he will have a new boyfriend in prison who will be extremely jealous and abusive towards him. We can only hope.

'justice system' is completely broken in America, it's hard to watch, it literally entices someone like him to do it, and he was already a career crimnal wife beater before, torturing someone for two hours, leaving extreme permanent disfigurement, and pretty much murdering someone who ended up living by random chance, when she easily could have bled to death, not to mention how he was harassing and stalking her visciously before, essentially tricked her into meeting him, had this all planned, showed zero remorse, is a 100% sadistic sociopath who won't evr change if he went on to live a thousand years, and all that pathetic american 'justice system' can give to someone like that is 20 years, he's young enough to finish his sentence, get out of jail, have more women, have more offspring who will inherit his sociopathic sadistic tendencies, and murder and disfigure more women

I am a domestic violence survivor. My ex-husband kicked my door in and tried to drag me back in my apartment. I fought my way out the door and was outside screaming for help in underwear and a t-shirt. People walked right by ignoring my cries. I put him in prison for domestic violence and abduction for 2 1/2 years. He was facing 7 charges, stalking one of them, but the coward took a plea deal. He's a repeated violent offender, even assaulted his sister, father and mother. All which was hidden from me because they were afraid of him. It's the threats after attack that keeps you locked into the relationship. Lack of experience and knowledge of abuse also keeps you in that relationship. Ppl who grow up in a stable home have absolutely no knowledge about abuse. Never forgive or allow yourself to endure a second attack of any kind. It's a matter of time before it escalates to a higher degree. If you like living, get out after the 1st attack. Stay safe, and remember this advice goes for men also. Women abuse, too.

You are afraid for your family, friends, your landlord the hotel clerk where your hiding. Your terrified they're going to kill innocent people. Because they have before and they are always saying it's all your fault. You've seen their brutality first hand. Seen they seem to be untouched by consequences and so you go. You go meet them or allow them over. Your know you can't live with the fact some random person walking by or fellow employees will be killed because you were such a piece of crap that didn't meet them so you sacrifice yourself. I think on this everyday all day for 3 years. I was at my camper on the lake. My beautiful sister allowed me to park it on her property. He came and the terrorizing began. He was breaking all my things that didn't work so he started threatening our 2 dogs I got lose of him ran to my sister's. It took a few minutes before he showed up. He wanted me to go back down to camper. He had doused it in gasoline. I was completely unaware. I refused so He unloaded his clip still terrorizing then he shot her in the head. Told me it was my fault then killed himself. My sister lived. She has TBI. She has no eyes. She is struggling and is in the dark. I knew something like this would eventually happen. I wish I had a better story. I wish her and I had some amazing comeback story. I wish I would have just walker back down to my camper so he could have burnt me up. There was no chance to not meet him. I had tried so many times. I was over 2 hours from my home at my camper. He followed. He always did. I pray for this girl. I pray for her self talk and spirit. I pray to come up from this and I especially pray for my sister. It's not just hard. It is impossible

We raced to the er over an hour away. We got pulled over at one point, the cop looked inside the car, said oh shit, follow me and he escorted us at high speeds to the er. Theg were actually able to use the skin in reconstructing his face. My brother is now 38 and you can barely tell, I mean it’s obvious he has scars but considering what happened, he looks great. Anyone who goes to traumatic event in their life goes trough the same process. Becaming stronger is a concequence of the trauma that finished, is a natural process in life of people evolution. Now i bet she values more her life and wont let others disrespect her anymore. she is in peaace, thats why she is calm in the interview.

Him winking was him being a smart a** little boy being scolded. He was trying to "stab" her once more if you will.

I kicked out my husband because of verbal abuse. When I found myself apologizing for nothing, I knew it was over.

This the wildest story I've ever heard. God bless Marilyn for being able to face him in court.

The first time a guy that I was getting close to shook me angrily and shoved me was the last time I went close to him. No matter the pleas I completely refused to allow myself get close to him again. Couldn’t see myself sleeping with someone that treated me that way, I lost every attraction I had for him. I wonder how these women do it, if he hits you once he would do it again! Sorry for her, someone needs to link her up with a stylist that makes a mean lace front wig

You should try to have some empathy for these victims and survivors because they are not as fortunate as you to have the amount of self security, confidence, and esteem to be able to walk away from even a hint of trouble in a relationship.

That’s the 1 thing my dad installed in me! He drilled in my head- once a man hits you- he will always hit you and it will only get worse. I never forgot that lesson and never have been hit….thank goodness!

I agree. I do understand the awful cycle of abuse, and I truly feel terrible for anyone who is in that situation. I would have lived under a bridge rather than let any man lay a hand on me.
