I was thinking the same thing. Only reason I can think of for it being 2nd degree is because the guidelines are a lot sticker and maybe the prosecutor was scared they would consider it a crime of passion instead of premeditated and take a chance of a not guilty. Definitely a monster tho, especially to do that in front of his kid.

That is completely untrue. Time and time again it’s the opposite, and men get a lot more harsh sentences for the same crime the woman did.

The trouble is bigger than your dad. The trouble is that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked. Jeremiah 17:9 asks "who can know it?" only God. Without repentance from sin and committing one's life to Jesus Christ, we are all terrible sinners. We offend God, vertically and horizontally, we offend our fellowmen.If you do not see the bigger picture, you begin blaming others just like Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming the devil. We have to learn that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says "For ALL have sinned." It is only when we turn from sin to God and become Christians we can have the heart felt forgiveness and the removal of the bitterness from our lives. Blessings on you!

These two girls have been scarred forever since that fateful night, as they witnessed and experienced their mother being butchered alive, as they felt helpless in trying to stop him. Those last few images of their mom are deeply ingrained in their psyche, and their brain. I cannot fathom having to live with something so horrific as what that _man_ ---- their _father_ ---- was capable of inflicting such pain and suffering and CARNAGE to the mother of his children and his children as well. IF he had ever possessed an iota of *humanity* in his life ---- he truly LOST it on that tragic night. I truly hope these young girls will somehow find peace one day, and have happy families of their own. As for *Cliff* ----- his punishment will be his *CONSCIENCE* --- every night and day, locked up in that cell. Nothing worse than a GUILTY CONSCIENCE. I hope Cliff FEELS it ---- every single day for as long as he lives. RIP Patricia. 🌹

The boyfriend didn't kill her, her husband did. And after being beaten down for years it's no surprise she would think she needed another man. What is so strong is that she realized she was much better off alone at the time of her death. What should really be said is: men, treat your families right. Just because you had a messed up childhood it doesn't give you the right to treat your family like dirt. And if your wife wants to move on, that is her choice and she is allowed to do that.

Yeah, the text message and his face covering show that it was a premeditated murder. He didn't want witnesses. If you want to see your children why wear combat gear and a face mask? I also think his "emotional rollercoaster" is performative nonsense. He knows he hit her for years, she didn't "take everything from him". She was living in a rundown little apartment over a shop. So she didn't even get the house. He drove her away with his own behaviour and she gave him YEARS of chances to change. That victim act is enraging and pathetic.

Having company and a romantic relationship with people who are violent is not worth the tragedy that comes in the end. Unfortunate Patricia seem very co dependent to men almost an addiction to bad men. Dating one after the other one knowing that these people aren't the most trustworthy individuals its madness. This is a ticking bomb! No one has to die the way Patricia did and our prayers are with her family. This is a cautionary tale that hopefully will help to illustrate the horrible outcome that may happen for dating untrustworthy people.

This is something I guess I'll never understand. If you grew up in an abusive environment, man or woman, why would you do the same things you saw in your household? Shouldn't you want to do better, be better, than how you were raised? I can't see how a man or a woman would put their hands on someone in violence. Especially if they saw a parent, a family member go through that. Not to be naive because I've seen abuse, even had an abusive relationship for a couple of months. It's not always so easy to get out. Some don't even make it out. My heart breaks for this lady in this 1st story💔. And for her children, to witness this😢 It's so sad.
@Belle_Ndebeledoll11 ай бұрын
When you have grown up in an abusive and chaotic environment and home it becomes your norm, and you have not had the example of a healthy relationship with boundaries, respect and appropriate communication mirrored for you, so you don’t tend to have healthy relationships until you understand that you grew up in an abusive environment and how to value yourself. Trauma bonding through abuse is unfortunately all too real, which is why it is so hard for people being abused to leave because they have been hardwired since they were children that the abuse is ‘normal’.

What is frustrating and actually infuriating to me, is that women sometimes include men in their lives that jeopardize the health and welfare of their children. Come on lady, sure you may pick a bad one but once you have kids ,that's it, you are responsible to get them to adulthood without filling your needs for a man by your side, your needs are secondary to the welfare of your five kids that you chose to bring into this world.

My dad had that sort of temper. Now he’s a weak senile old man and dependent on my mom and me. My brother doesn’t talk to him. In his younger years, if my mom ever left … I guarantee you he would’ve killed us all… even his own father--my granddad protected us. Whatever. My dad is a recluse. He sits in his bedroom all day. Rude to everyone. Thank god he’s short, weak, has no guns, and can’t even open the fridge door anymore. THAT is how weak he became.

Almost always you can tell when there are red flags at the beginning of a relationship. I can’t stand it when someone says, “But I love him” or “Usually she’s so good to me”. That’s crap. Some choose to ignore the flags. If we don’t talk about the signs how will our young people stay safe? Will they go to a shelter then right back to the relationship? Will a young woman call the police for the fifth time on her boyfriend only to bail him out of jail. We need to make better choices on who we allow into our lives. You bet if I was in an abusive relationship and got out I’d be giving talks at schools on what actions should be avoided. Let kids grow up knowing no one should hurt them, isolate them from their families, keep track of everything they do. That is unacceptable. How do we teach our kids this?

These men are monsters and I pray the children will all come out of the nightmares with psychological help and love from other family and friends. Now, why is it a woman goes from one man to another? Are they afraid of being alone, they have no marketable skills, they're sure this one is the one ? Prayers for all

Hi I’m sorry to tell you, that I have to leave your channel. It’s not because I don’t like you anymore, it’s just because KZbin have decided that the Premium Lite membership that I have enjoyed to much, is no longer available. Now it’s only possible to get the standard Premium membership, which means a price increase of 73%. Sure, they throw a bunch of other stuff into the membership, but I don’t care about that. If I did, I would have chosen that membership from the beginning. This change from KZbin means that you will lose subscribers = income. Unless KZbin has increased payment to you now that they are charging paying members more money, then this should be a problem for you. It has been a pleasure following you.

Re 1st case: Premeditation is counted in seconds. It is only necessary that a perp CONSIDERS the crime before committing it. How is this cruel, pre-planned murder not charged and won as murder in the first degree? With all direct evidence such as blood and dna, eye witnesses on the scene identifying their own father; all evidence of pre-planning, all proven history of violence, all his threats, direct threat of a "special gift", and - to top it off, his confession... and he gets to plead??!! I don't get it.

My advice is to live life with children after an abused will help the family more instead of getting into one relationship after another. This case though is so heart broken with such lovely children and a great mom . Cliff must have wanted to do what he did most probably after learning that Patricia was into another relationship. RIP Patricia.

I’m still wondering how the hell a 15-year-old girl dies in her sleep???? No, I don’t think Cliff had anything to do with it - they would have been doing every test imaginable on her to find out what killed her so I don’t think it was murder cuz they’d have known, but… Damn. How does a 15 year old healthy girl die in her sleep???
@Chris-wn9hi11 ай бұрын
It is suspicious. The only way I think it could be homicide is a poison that wasn't tested, or she was smothered by having her nostrils closed with her mouth covered. The natural cause would possibly be an electrical problem in her heart.
@Paintress11 ай бұрын
Pre-existing heart conditions, seizures. Same lay dormant and can randomly occur even with no prior history
@Justice-ef9sk11 ай бұрын
@@Paintress well, I absolutely agree with you that some conditions lie dormant, but when they did the autopsy, they would not have confirmed any dormant conditions? I’ve got to be honest, I don’t know ANYTHING about medicine, lol. Just because I watch Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t make me a doctor. 😏 But remember, they said when the autopsy was performed the M.E. never did find a cause of death. That’s why I’m so perplexed by this. I mean, as I said, a 15-year-old girl goes to sleep and doesn’t wake up and they don’t know why? It’s mind-boggling.

I am a woman myself, but I do not understand women who, in the intoxication of love, expose their children to such an upbringing and danger. When you are an adult and have children, you have to take adult responsibility. There are red flags when it comes to dangerous men - and women. Take these signals seriously, or at least ensure that the children have a safe upbringing if it is necessary to live with an 'exciting' bad boy.
