I seen this before but it really hits hard to me right now. I used to break the law when I was young. Mostly drugs. Nothing violent. But I decided about 12 years ago to change my life. I became homeless and a Christian family that didn't even know me took me in. I got a job making minimum wage. I took night classes and got my GED. I paid off my multiple suspensions and got my license. I saved and got a car. I got a way better paying job. I got my own place. And thru it all I worked hard and prayed. But 3 years ago the police bust into my place and arrested me on a serious charge. I didn't know what was going on. I finally got a bond. And when I got out I figured out what really happened and long story short. A police officer lied on me. I lost my job and place but I got my job back. But I go to court in a few days facing the rest of my natural life. And all I try to do is be a better person than I was the day before. Not just for myself, but for my family and my community as well. Life really isn't fair. And bad things happen to good people. And just because someone is "bad" doesn't mean they can't change for the better. Now I have bad PTSD from my time in jail. I get so depressed that I might just start crying outta nowhere. I think about suicide. The only thing that gives me faith is the hope that God didn't bring me thru so much for my life to end in a prison cell

"Help them get rid of the materialism." In the time where the vapidness and shallowness of the Kardashians, fake flexing in music videos and by influencers has become such a stronghold in our society, that was a true message from a man who spent a lot of time thinking.... yeah getting drunk and high doesn't explain away such a horrific act. Its bad enough robbing someone at gunpoint, but to murder them as well... what's most revolting about this is that its this murderer's voice that people get to hear, and not that of the innocent man he murdered or their families that still have to live without the loved one he deprived them of.
