Cause its rude!!! Back in the day when you disrespected someone you were slapped in the face challenged to a duel etc. IF you have a proper upbringing When an older person a woman and a child are trying to get through or need a seat you usually let them through or give them your seat because it’s the polite thing to do. If someone is holding a door and its not for you or you cut ppl off “excuse me pardon me sorry” or “thank you” is something very simple. Basic decorum. Idk where tf people were raised or who raised them but SEVERAL cultures understand this basic level of respect because it is engrained in their cultures as well but for some reason when it comes to other cultures they don’t have any respect and its RUDE. Koreans are respectful Japanese people are respectful etc Chinese people act like they dont even see other people they often do this in public alot but if someone were to do this to their grandmother or mother it would be “asian h8” prejudice racism etc.

While listening to his tone of voice, I can tell the plaintiff was honest and sincere while telling his version of the event first. At the same time, he took responsibility to what happened. THAT, itself is maturity at its best even if the situation was minor at this one. What I like about this episode is that JJ still let the plaintiff continue explaining his story and the reasons behind it. The defendant shouldn’t have punched the plaintiff at all to begin with, which is why the case lasted for 2 years without the plaintiff letting it go. So, understandably, being punched in the face isn’t something you can easily let go until one takes the initiative to compensate financially and also apologize for the misunderstanding. Thanks for sharing the videos!🌺

Ehhh, I disagree. She isn't faulting the plaintiff for getting hit by the idiot defendant, but there were many opportunities where he could have deescalated the situation by just hanging back. The plaintiff lacks common sense and awareness-- he needed to hear that he was rude, and that his proceeding actions did nothing to diffuse a ridiculous situation with a hot-head that needs anger management.
@Kaboomboo
@Kaboomboo Жыл бұрын
@@c_es4138 What are you talking about? He already deescalated the situation. He continued about his business by going to the bathroom. It's the defendant that came back for no reason other than to "reiterate that he was rude." Defendant was looking for a fight. As far as hearing he was rude, the guy already told him. It's not his responsibility to diffuse the situation. He wasn't he one that was already in the car with his family about to drive off. The defendant was.
@c_es4138
@c_es4138 Жыл бұрын
@@Kaboomboo As I said in my first comment, I'm not faulting the plaintiff for the defendant being unhinged. Maybe I'm coming from a place where avoiding confrontation is my MO, but there are a lot of things the plaintiff could have done differently in this situation that wouldn't have led to a years long court proceeding. He could have approached a manager if he saw the guy come back. He could have walked away. He could have let the defendant leave before he stepped back outside. He could have not talked back when the defendant said what he did was rude. We are responsible for our own reactions. Defendant is crazy and needs help. Plaintiff lacks common sense and manners. The ruling was fair, but I don't think it was out of pocket for JJ to help the plaintiff realize that he was a little rude and that he could've helped deescalate. Just my opinion, though.

That’s the only thing I’m scratching my head on. We don’t know exactly how far the wife is from front door. One says she’s a mile away and the other says he walked thru her lmao. And no, it’s not rude to walk in when someone is far. But main question is how far. Good v bad judgement of “distance”

Plaintiff was thinking he's the alfa male, that's way he didn't wait for the defendant to leave.

This whole thing is so ridiculous. The plaintiff should have apologized instead of saying what he said, or just waited his turn. The defendant should have just let it go and left with his family and go about his day. I live in Utah and usually people are incredibly polite and hold doors open for people all the time. Been many times when I hold open the door for someone then they hold the next door open for me and vice versa. If this happened you would get something like " oh, I'm sorry, my bad" them in response "it's ok" then you both would either chuckle or smile a bit and go about your day. This is the adult way to act.

Judge Judy is so rude! She thinks her opinion is always right. Granted, I’ve agreed with many of her decisions but this is terrible. Only at 1:55 and listened to the first video… often if you have to go to the bathroom there’s a level of urgency. If the other guy was holding the door for his wife and she wasn’t right there, it’s perfectly acceptable for another person to use that opportunity to walk in! Why should the whole entrance be held up for 30 seconds to a minute if the wife is far away perhaps wrangling her kids? Also, it is not his fault for going outside to wait with his family when the guy who threatened him goes outside also. Everyone knows hindsight is 20/20! He could have waited, yes. But he should not have to or be expected to alter his normal LEGAL behavior in order to avoid being assaulted! Come on!

The defendant is considerably older~and however irritated at the younger plaintiff's impatience (or squeezing thru ahead of his wife) should have had the maturity to ignore it. Instead he ruined his own date, made himself look worse to his wife who didn't herself seem upset by ensnaring himself in a two year court battle. All over something he could have simply shrugged off.

My idea of the happening is the bald guy is a "tough guy" The Asian man probably had his hands in his pockets and was scooting past the "door experience" and may have leaned closer to the man than another part of the door or room in one of those "I'm intending to do this" movements and because the man said "you're rude and the Asian guy said "you're rude" because he was already closer while trying to scoot past, the bald dude took further offense. You can kind of read who they are based on this tape alone and your own experience of people you maybe know or have seen that act similar. A sort of stupid case and stupid reason to put your hands on someone BUT I have been there just the same.
