Since you like Erra have you heard of Kadinja? They also have amazing guitar work in every one of their songs. I'd recommend either Episteme or GLHF by them as a first time listen.

I'm actually from north Alabama and I can tell you from experience the majority of bands from Alabama either sound somewhat similar to this or like Lynyrd Skynyrd cover bands 😂

New ERRA is good and all but Impulse and Augment are still their best albums imo. After Augment they lost a guitarist and their vocalist and they were never the same anymore. Losing their other guitarist was a big hit. They're still phenomenal though but just not the same magic that they originally were.

If you want to have your mind blown, check out "Gungrave" from their 2021 self titled album, their screamer is a different guy now but still heavy and they have gotten more technical some how over the years😂
