I have recently been diagnosed with IBD via a colonoscopy. I was given medication which worked but nobody explained that I would need to keep taking them so ran out and it has returned with a vengeance! Thank you so much for this presentation, I understand and will now take steps to improve my quality of life from a place of knowledge.

All this research and medication over the course of god knows how many years and still nothing solid from what I can tell. The fact that diet is never taught and hardly ever even considered by most gi’s is truly disappointing. It’s depressing that the patients are always given the run around.

They can't make money out of diet so do not investigate it. A zero fibre diet put my severe acute UC into clinical remission after other so called healthy diets put me in hospital twice

Hi, I have Colitis and my gastro doctor never gave me anything for my disease and I have been going to him for 15 years! It's so bad sometimes that I can't make it to the restroom! Well, I know when I get a flare is when I get really tired then my stomach just starts to act up! Trying to change my eating habits and doing lot of super green powder and collagen trying to cure my problem! Now going to try activated charcoal to see if this works! Tired of taking diarrhea medicine which really doesn't work! Had C-Diff many times too! Had this problem since I was 35 yrs and now I'm 61, living with this disease trying to make my life better!

Just had Entyvio fail and Stelara isn’t working. Going the ostomy route soon to take my life back. The flares every few years when the drugs fail getting is harder on the health as I get older. Hoping to avoid the diabetes and osteoporosis from steroids and get back to living.

Do doctors test for vitamin d levels. That should be the first thing done. 70% are low in the D but have no idea because a lot of doctors give out medication instead of really helping them heal. Food is medicine and knowledge is power.

If you wat seed oil with a UC flare, you are insane. It is extremely inflammatory.
