This one of my ll time favorite management models. It hits the perfect sweet-spot of very high predictive and explanatory capacity for very low complexity. If you don't know this model, it really is time you did!

Even though Storming requires a bit of diplomatic negotiating, I always feel it means the members of the team are showing commitment and personal buy-in. It confirms they've Formed, and are moving toward Performing! Thanks for this thoughtful and thorough summary!

Media Question: is the ‘ringing’ sound in the background intended? (Or is it my device malfunctioning?)
@ManagementCoursesАй бұрын
I've re-listened to a dozen sections and cannot hear any ringing. Is it at a specific part (I record in a mixed residential/light industrial area)? If so, there may have been an alarm or something. But I cannot hear a ringing through the main track. That said, I'm not as young as I was and my high-frequency acuity will be dropping off.

Truly I too can't hear the ringing sound after listening repeatedly.

I have a question. Does tuckman' s model place emphasis on the transforming stage? That is the repetition of the stages within the project because of different tasks that take place?
@ManagementCourses3 жыл бұрын
The transforming stage is not a part of Tuckman's original model. It's a stage I added from my own experience and observations. However, I think I'm not the only person to have that insight. It's not the different tasks that cause reversion backwards in Project Management settings. Rather, it's ta lack of confidence and clarity around them. A good PM can keep their team at the Performing stage by being clear about team roles and task allocation.

This guy speaks well in English and explains well with each stage. But the real magic that makes the team tick is not the team leader but Jesus Christ, the captain all teamwork. He is the most qualified to speak about relationships, teamwork and performance at all levels.

People can do fine on their own, without needing to invoke religion.
