I used to keep all textures in one folder, but the folder become so huge. I feel Max takes a little extra time to pick textures from this Big Fat Folder !!

Because you can have 2 textures on 2 different objects with the same names. With this method you don’t override the wood of the chair (for exemple) with the wood of the bed if they have the same name 🙂

@@smokeyzi7006 I don't see why you would override them by just having each model and textures on it's own folder. You mean when merging one of the assets into a project containing an asset with the same texture name?

so much difficult i believe.. I put all the textures in one folder and subfolders (only 1 level) with the categories.. Then, this folder is added in the common paths in 3dsmax (add subfolders).. and done.. you won't never have a missing file.
