Gameplay vid if you get a chance! I'm confused - would you recommend drawing normally if you're missing a blue card for FoW or Shoal if you have enough board state to normalize? What gets sided out?

All of those questions depend on what you are playing against. I would recommend mastering a Spy Manaless list before you try taking on Blue Dredge. The blue variant is by far more skill intensive.

When you sideboard, what is best to cut? Because obviously you don't want to reduce the creature engine of the deck, so what do you take out to bring in, say, the 4 Disrupting Shoals for example?

Depends on what you are playing against. If they are not a creature based deck I would cut the Contagions, but that isn't always right. Sometimes against Miracles I will leave Contagions in to kill my own Ichorids to save them from Terminus. Other cards I often side out are one or two Nether Shadows, and sometimes a Phantasmagorian and a Dread Return. Sideboarding is the hardest part of playing Dredge.

hey, so i am looking to build a manna less dredge. but i dont really have that much money that i am willing to spend on this deck. so i was wondering is cabal therapy needed for the deck, and if so what would be a cheaper alternatives? and i realize ichorid is a big part of the deck, but is there any alternatives for that. Great job on the video btw, and any help is appreciated.

Cabal Therapy is absolutely essential to this deck and it's performance. It is a Sacrifice outlet to make more tokens, Discard outlet to discard cards from your own hand as well as your opponent. Cabal also clears the path for your combo wins. Here is a list of 47-48 cards that are 100% essential to this deck. 4 Golgari Grave-Troll 4 Golgari Thug 4 Ichorid 4 Nether Shadow 4 Phantasmagorian 3-4 Shambling Shell 4 Stinkweed Imp 4 Street Wraith 4 Narcomoeba 4 Cabal Therapy 4 Dread Return 4 Bridge from Below That leaves about 12-13 open slots in your deck. Generally those spots are filled with a couple Balustrade Spy's/Grislebrand's and a Flayer of the Hatebound or two, and the rest is utility. Anything else I can help you with?

Table Top Magic I have one more question on the rulings of dredge, i have searched around and havent been able to find any real answer to the question. may you activate the dredge ability with multiple creatures at the same time? such as if you were to draw a card, then dredge with both grave troll and stink-weed imp?
@tabletopmagic338610 жыл бұрын
Dredge is a replacement effect and doesn't use the stack. So you can't Dredge multiple "Dredgers" from a single draw by trying to stacking them. If you have an effect that draws two more cards you do however chose a Dredger to return to your hand as you draw each card. Say your playing LED Dredge and you have only a Stinkweed Imp in your graveyard. You then play Breakthrough and pay zero as X. Each card is drawn as a separate act and Dredge doesn't go onto the stack it replaces each draw separately. So you can Dredge for five cards, returning Stinkweed Imp to your hand, and of those five cards you can chose another "Dredger" for your second, third and forth draw. Make sence?

Is the only reason to play this is for force of will? Ive been playing the spy version for a few months now and I want to know if this is substantially better than the spy build.
@tabletopmagic338610 жыл бұрын
I like it a lot, but it is by far more skill intensive than any other build of Manaless there is. It very much takes the Auto Pilot out of the deck. The only reason to switch to this is pretty much just Fow tho.

If you have the FoW's to run, I recommend that you run the Spy version game one, then SB into FoW for game 2, siding out the spys. Problem solved, you have both versions available.

Unmask exiles the black card though.
@tabletopmagic338610 жыл бұрын
Yes, you have to exile a back card from your hand to pay the alternate cost for Unmask. What are you referring to exactly?
