Update alert: Bikes are now not allowed to visit Rohtang pass. If you hire a cab you don't need to obtain a permit as the rental service provider will provide you the permit himself and if you are visiting with your own car, then you need to book permit for yourself. Also even if you are coming via Ladakh/Spiti side, bikes are still not allowed to come to Manali via rohtang pass, only cars can go through rohtang pass

Hey.. Love your video.. Actually, I am planning also for Manali with family, as you said that rohtang pass Is closed on Tuesday? Is it true? So I need to apply for the pass fr Wednesday? And do I need to apply for any other pass before entering Manali also?.. And which place we can visit in rohtang pass I mean like we can sit over there calmly for sometime and then again by evening go back to Manali hotel.. Do reply..

Hii, so to answer your question, just recently Himachal Pradesh government declared that rohtang pass will now stay open even on Tuesday, so you can visit there on Tuesday as well but do get your permit in advance (link in description). Secondly, there's no permit required to enter Manali but you have to pay a green tax (to keep the environment safe of these places) which can range between 100 to 300 rupees depends on your vehicle, this tax can also be paid online on the same website as rohtang pass permit (again link in description) and lastly there's no particularly spot on rohtang pass for sitting, just find a spot where there's not much crowd and that's your calm spot, enjoy the peace and views for some time and then come back. Hope I answered your queries

Monsoon in generally risky, although June end isn't that risky but July-August is the peak monsoon and you should avoid Manali at that time. Check for weather forecast and carry raincoat with yourself if you are planning to visit in June end. But avoid July or August. You can visit there in September, its very beautiful and pleasant there in September

Just returned on 26th may 2022 from MANALI Be aware of tour operators froud 1),please take everything in written, 2)TOUR OPERATOR LICENCE, ADHAR CARD ,PAN CARDand tour plan in written, like 3) CAR (AC) IF picking up from delhi/chandigarh ,Taxi driver turn off AC WHILE DRIVING TO MANALI 4 )DONT PAY much advance ,pay in instalments 5)U CAN get hotels and packages after landing manali WITH very good deals then tour operators, don't book through references( mis conduct happens) 6) I have seen cases of tour operator Running, leaving you in void 7) rohtash pass u cN get electric buses from MAL ROAD ,MANALI with 600 per head 8) ROHTANG PASS tour operators 100%blackmails you, saying no availability of permit to ROHTANG P DXASS 9)TOHTANG PASS PERMIT PER VEHICLE IS JUST Rs600-900/-,

Rohtang pass is best visited in May, June and till early July. For Jogini falls, the clips were taken in June end and it also can be best visited during May to July

Very much informative video. In May 2016 we visited manali but rohtang pass s was closed and very disappointed how we can know if rohtang pass is open? And if want to enjoy snow activities then which month and place to go as you said rohtang pass will be closed during November to March (though in our case it was closed even in May)

Rohtang pass is generally open during May to October, may be the snow level was still high when you visited in May that's why it was closed. If you want to enjoy snow activity then May and June are the best time as after that monsoon kicks in and snow starts to melt and the road there also becomes dangerous. Rohtang pass remains closed during winters but you can enjoy snow activities in Solang valley at that time
