It’s a different amp and voicings so it’s not really a ton of overlap. For most ppl the JEL 20 watt is plenty. I played both and went with JEL and I don’t regret it cuz u have the best of Marshall in one box. Also keep in mind due to the JEL being newer it has all the updates in the back like DI etc that may not be found on the runt. I play mine direct for shows sometimes and it’s Super handy

$1,100 more than the Jubilee 2555x I was thinking about. But $2,500 less than the Wizard I really want. Oh, what to do?🙄 And I already have a '79 JMP 2204 and a '86 JCM 800 2203, and an ENGL Fireball 100, and a Splawn QR50, and a Bedrock 1200, and more.🤦‍♂

Jubilee won’t nail plexi tones like the JEL tho. Like Zach said I don’t think it’s the 800 that will surprise you. The plexi channel is the real secret weapon of this amp. I bought mine cuz it has DI in the back which is handy for shows and both amps in one box. If ur not gigging I’d just do the mods on your 2204 and stick with what u have.

Dave Friedman’s amps are awesome. With that said, once you try a Wizard you will never look back. Can’t go wrong with a Modern Classic 1 or 2
