Udumalai Narayana Kavi's song, in the lips of Chidambaram Jayaraman 'Villambu patta pun vethanai tharaathu' is an unmatched beauty. Lip synching this song was a young Kaka Radhakrishnan, in shorts. Also, Bharathiar's song, 'Chinnan chiru kiliye Kannamma' song, sung by V.N. Sundaram and MLV, lip synched by T.S. Balaiah adds to the glamor. Kalaignar Karunanidhi's script writing shines as well. Even after 70 years, NSK's signature movie stands tall.
