Good stuff. Not a huge fan of the brand myself, but I will say that I like their bottle designs. Both in ergonomics and in colour. Looking forward to hearing your take on the others.

This one smells exactly like the car freshener that I find hanging on my mirror when I get my car washed & cleaned at my local garden centre. Nice, but not something I'd want to wear.

Personally, I consider it a waste of time to review this brand, together with Montale, with which it shares relatively the same olfactory characteristics. I say this considering the level of olfactory professionalism you are used to, without any lack of appreciation for the work and involvement you show in these videos, dear Peter. In my opinion, the term "niche" is far from these brands. They have some good, decent products, but I honestly believe that they are not benchmarks that will make us more evolved people in this field. They are good options for people who are just discovering perfumery today :) Respect for your work, dear Peter !

I mean I mention that in my opinion, they're designer level fragrances.. but exactly the reason why they're worth mentioning, they're good options for people who want something simple and easy to wear, or just starting out..

I wouldn't agree on that take. Yes, a lot of mancera and montale are quite mass appealing but there are a lot of them which are very rich and complex. Montale's Black Aoud from 2006 (!) was something quite new for us westerners. And they are still developing quite nice oud-type fragrances which aren't for everybody. Manceras Saharian Wind is also very different from the mainstream for example.
@LIFEPHORM823 ай бұрын
@@destryo3287Yes, they have their exceptions. I still have that Black Aoud you refer to, a very big step ahead of its time. But starting from the idea that "you have to be better" in this field, I don't consider that there are, in general, some benchmarks that you can't live without :)

@@LIFEPHORM82 Ok sure but for me you don't have to innovate all the time in fragrance. Sometimes it's that simple stuff which smells nice. Again, montale and mancera have such a variety to them, you just can't know all of their fragrances. Some of them are quite innovative, some aren't. If I want some real niche I wouldn't gravitate to them of course. I have Francesca Bianchi for that :)

Cripes , doesn’t sound that amazing considering it’s a semi niche product (?) Sounds like the kind of thing you wanna spend twenty quid on , rather than over a hundred quid . damn. Ive only tried one mancera .. cedrat boise intense - it’s ok .. slightly underwhelming. Ive still got half of a 5ml sample so i guess i should persevere. Cheers Peter 👍

sure, I'd recommend designers over this.. but still, some will enjoy it and find the value in it

@@FragranceView I recently purchased Xerjoff's Tony Iommi *Special Monkey*....I'm enjoying it very much....and enjoying layering it with other fragrances. Like most regular humans....I've found I don't get compliments/comments....from random strangers or passersby. However, *Monkey Special* has garnered a fair amount of (always positive) attention. To be clear....no one has commented that I smell like a monkey. (((🐒)))
