Id love to rely on a train to get me to an airport, that would be a huge blessing and saving! We never dare risk it so this was my first introduction by that mode. Loved the toilet stop 😂 i do envy people that can film when they are about to catch a plane, im always far too stressed! Very sombre music for the duty free, i cant blame you, the prices in there are dearer than in the supermarkets!

I find the train is great if you're going at a reasonable time and go early so there is always a plan B if need be. Plus it was £15 return including bus to and from train station. Thought I'd share where the toilets are as well as how to get to terminal one which is pretty easy. I'm pretty chilled out when travelling and it helps I've done the trek before. I always get thro duty free as quick as possible. I think calling it duty free is more than pushing the boundaries because as you say you can get it a lot cheaper elsewhere. @@TheHikingHermit id love to risk it, we have a semi direct train that runs from Scarborough to Manchester Airport. Id save £100s off parking and possibly negate the need to get a travelodge the night before just can’t risk it. You must be a more seasoned traveller, we tend to only fly once a year at the moment and i find it super stressful. Back in the 90s i had a job that required me to be on and off planes at least twice as a week and i was calm as a cucumber!

It helps that I don't live too far away from the airport. Around 20 miles. I'm starting getting back into the travelling a bit more now that the nonsense is behind us 🙂I now have well over 6 months of video to release if I do 1 per week. I really need to release 2 some weeks but dunno where I will find the time 🤪

Hi Kimberly, You're most welcome. I'm glad it has been useful for you. Airports can be a bit intimidating, especially if it's your first time at a particular one. I don't think there is a Hard Rock Cafe shop at the airport but I could be wrong. I know there is a Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester city centre near the Print Works if that's helpful. And whilst I haven't seen any fridge magnets for sale I'm pretty sure you will find some for sale at one of the stationers at the airport or perhaps even in duty free. I also did a video going from Manchester Airport to the city centre on the train if that would also prove useful to you. Have a great trip, Paul

Hi Ms Kayak, this one is my local airport and this time I took the train in. A lot cheaper. And could you tell I was itching to get past some of the slower people. I'm like that all the time. This audio was captured with the GoPro media mod only. My new audio is wireless so it's pretty cool to be away from my camera and it still pick up my speaking as if I'm next to it. I had to use the music on this video as there was copyrighted music being played in various bits. I guess it was a bit dramatic seeing Stabucks 😂 Hopefully people find the video useful to know how to get to the terminal from the train station and how long it takes etc. Thank you very much for watching 🙂👍Paul

So at 5:20mins do i take the lift as im T1 Departures?

Whilst you could do that it's better to carry on down the corridor. At 6:12 in the video you have 2 options the lift down or the very short escalator down. These will bring you into T1 Departures. At the bottom of that escalator and just to your right is where you will go for security clearance. Hope that helps.
