I remember as a Kid I was sad when Ronaldo left in 2009, but in 2009/10 Rooney, Nani, Park Ji-Sung and Fletcher really stepped up. Shame we messed up at Blackburn and fell to Robben's goal. But hats off to Rooney this was his peak season in my opinion, also Nani really played his heart out in that 2nd leg vs Bayern!

My first year in college…the season I properly started watching Full games week in week out…this season was almost perfect apart from the Robben goal and Drogba offside goal..Rooney was AMAZING this season. Berbatov too but he didn’t step up when Rooney got injured…amazing season though

At the time we thought we needed another striker and there were comparisons of Betbatov to Cantona in his style and class, he just didn’t have the personality and nowhere near the presence. He gave us quite a few goals though

Seriously, I really do not get the critics on Berbatov, exept of maybe two games or so, all the games where he plays in the starting 11 are actually pretty good, a lot of goals and overall a big contribution in the games, just see his assist for Valencia for an instance. And bear in mind that he only starts in about 70 % of the matches, and Rooney did in like 90% of all games. So overall a great effort for Berbatov, his haters can suck his boot!

5:29 is the sort of reason why clueless Chelski fans should shut it when they claim Drogba should've won PFAPlayerOfTheYear that season. I know Drogba scored a lot AGAINST numerical disadvantaged teams and a lot at HOME with everything on Chelsea's side but he didn't do much if any of this from Rooney only 1-2 up at WhiteHartLane just had unlucky sending off for Scholes and Spurs a good team and playing at home with an extra player looking for the 2-2 goal and Rooney scored a crucial individual goal to clinch the game. Chelski fans just be grateful you were given the double that season, other team's like ManUtd were really "robbed" not Drogba/Chelsea.

Despite we only won the carling cup that year, for me it's the best season we had. The team was brilliant. The players were beautiful. The kit was unmatched. The football was sublime. My biggest regret is not going through Bayern. I believe Manchester United that year could have beaten Inter.

Often there are discussions about Pep Vs Ferguson...and I do believe Pep is more a tactical expert..but Can Pep win the league with Cleverley /Anderson and 38 yr old Giggs and Scholes in MF...Could he have let Ronaldo and Tevez go in single window and replace them with Owen and Valencia still managed to get the team to the final day of league run-in.. Could he have rotated his central defenders regularly in injury crisis with Fletcher/Carrick pitching in..Wes Brown ..O Shea ..Jones ..Smalling...Well not all I said was praising SAF ...as the abilty to rely on these players drove him to not signing worthy replacements...and then started to cost us bigtime once SAF left!

What people don’t understand is that this was the true downfall of Manchester United. They should’ve started getting places in positions they need to protect for the future but the Glazers are poor owners. The last great Manchester United team was 08/09. Their midfield was short and they relied on Rooney far too heavily. They should’ve started to get pierces in the team but got to lax

Nah! His last world class season was the season after that, 10/11! He played insanely good that season. Specially the run to the cl final. He assistet a lot in the big games and in the final. and even scored in the semi final.

It was downhill right away he was doing great until 14/15 then it went downhill fast but I remember in 13/14 he and De Gea we’re carrying Man United

He scored like 27 league goals in 2011/2012 so I wouldn't say it was downhill from 2010. He was also pretty good in Moyes' first season. But he definitely declined massively from 2014.

MrNigeriaboy this happens when you don’t know football and are playing for likes. His downfall came in 14-15 he was noticeably slower and he was having more bad games. His peak also was between 2004-2012. People need to know Rooney was unbelievable Player but lacked true dedication
