No, no. Incredibly its pure 8/8 but those 2 hits on the ding mess up the perception of it. I also didnt understood it when i first started playing it. It felt like an odd time signature. Funny right? :)

if I play 10/8 in triplets, I can perfectly follow along. But that's just my point of view :)
