My favorite part of every episode is the intimate conversations, the uncomfortable topics, the things I've never herd before about men's genitalia, s*x, interesting facts, addictions, mental health and etc. You deliver it with ease and a bit of humor. I like how all of you can share your opinion and experience so you can teach us all something new or to make us feel not alone. These are things that not everybody talks about enough today, so thank you for binging up the conversation in every episode!

Jerid’s story has really touched me. My brother had similar struggles early in life, getting a DUI at 21. He unfortunately never recovered from his addictions and depression, he passed away May 2020 at age 29 from driving impaired. He also hit a tree. Luckily he didn’t harm anyone else. It’s destroyed our family and has been the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with. Please, do not drink and drive. It’s not worth it. I'm so glad Jerrid was able to quit drinking and everything. I'm glad he shared about the DUIs. My brother crashed my grandma's car into someone's back deck and landed a few inches from their back porch. He was 2 or 3 times the legal limit. My sister bailed him out and got him a great lawyer, so he didn't learn his lesson unfortunately. It's now about 6 years later, and he's in even more deep. Addiction is no joke, and not easy to get out of.

Listening to Jerid share about his duis and addiction is the most relatable thing I’ve listened to in a long time. I was an addict from early teen years and quit around the same age as him. I’m 5 years clean off of everything but weed similar to him, which also makes me feel heard. Thaaaaaaaaaank you!!!!!!

When you started talking about your beliefs comforted me. I lost my grandma due to cancer in June so you talking about religion and God made me more sure and more hopeful that I will meet her again in heaven. ❤️

idk about this mandela effect thing happening on 2012 because i remember in the summer of 2014 i was scrolling on the TV guide and seen a show called Sex In The City and i was like wtf is that, but thought nothing of it. I noticed mandela effects near the end of 2015. I remembered alot of things that changed like Chic-Fil-A and JCPenny and the Fruit of the loom thing.. very trippy

I used to work at Kroger, and if you ever wondered why your grocery store rearranges the aisles all the time, it’s a corporate trick to make you purposefully have to wander around the store to find the stuff you usually get, so that you have to browse down aisles that you maybe normally wouldn’t and that way, hopefully you see new items that you would like to try.. it forces you to see more of the store essentially.. my customers would always get so pissed when we would rearrange the aisles so often, and we hated it too..

The funniest escape for the mind I’ve found so far. I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and This podcast has come at such a needful time for me. Not being able to work it makes me so unmotivated and depressed. But this brings me so much joy keeping up with the progress of the podcast over the time it’s been out. I’ve been watching Shane for so so so many years, diehard superluv era, and I’ve loved your persona throughout it all. Hardcore comfort KZbinr right here. I love you Shane, you do so much for people that you don’t even realize and I am totally one of those people. Sending love to you and your beautiful little family ❤️ can’t wait till the next one

2 of my very close friends died drinking and driving at the age of 21 in a very similar situation. They were in the same car. You are so lucky to be alive. That was in 2004. Still hurts. Especially when I look at my family and life and realize they never got to experience this. I turned 40 yesterday and it’s still so raw.

I rememberJerid talking about the time you guys when out for your grandparents anniversary I believe that's what you're talking about. He said something about it being your "birthday" so they came out and started singing happy birthday. Everyone was so confused and you laughed so hard you peed so Jerid knocked over the water so nobody would know. It made me tear up I love he has always looked out for you. You're so blessed to have such an awesome protective loving older brother.

They started putting breathalysers in bars for people to check they were ok to drive but then people started using them in competitions to see who could get the highest readings. Which obv completely defeated the whole purpose

So weird, literally clicked on this video to watch as I’m writing my husband a letter that I’m leaving with our two year old daughter if he doesn’t stop drinking and driving. I lost my little brother in November because he got on a bike drunk and wrecked and died in a tragic accident. My husband watched with me and was there as we said goodbye to him as he took his last breath in the ICU, and continues to drink and drive, and came home tonight wasted. I said I’m done wasting my breath and watching on the sidelines until something horrible happens. It’s so fcking selfish and it’s such a slap in the face. Please if you drink and drive, think about how many people you affect, and then ask yourself if you could live with that, by leaving the ones you love if something tragic happens to you or someone else.
@ZoeThomson002 жыл бұрын
Sounds like he needs an actual slap in the face, good for you for standing up for you and your daughter and letting him know what's what. Good luck, I hope it all goes well

Hearing about Jerid's second DUI reminds me of an experience my dad told me that happened in his 20s. He had gone out drinking with friends, it was one of his friends that had drove them all there, later that evening they decided to go home and asked my dad wanted a lift home but something was telling him not to get in the car so he walked home. When he woke up the next day he got news that his friends had died in the car that night after the driver had lost control as a result of drinking. It was enough to make him never think about driving after drinking.
