New listener here, discovered the show about three months ago and I've been loving it. Keep up the great work, guys.

I’ve been listening for years and these guys never disappoint. Do you want an honest review of something that you gotta listen to these guys! They’re not bought out by the big companies like the other KZbinrs.

I liked your discussion on Jabba and everyone hiding behind the curtains like it was a suprise birthday party. 😂 The other thing I thought was - what if Lando had made a deal with Jabba? Could he have sold out his friends yet again? There’s a chance that he realized the plans were going south once Luke got the lightsaber at the Sarlac pit. A long shot but could have been possible for a guy like Lando who was known to look out for himself in the past.

At one hour into the podcast, you reached the obvious answer we mature Star Wars fans want - a good story. I am 55 and have always been a fan. Middle part of my life I was too busy making money and a whole list of other things (father, husband, engineer/scientist (my work), student, soldier, church, etc.), to focus on Star Wars other than to experience it with my kids. But now, I have time and money to catch up and I found Andor so excellent. Key point is that it tells a story and does it well. It's intelligent and interesting. It is well produced. I liked the Mandalorian (especially Seasons 1 and 2), Book of Boba Fett, and found Kenobi pretty good. I feel a bit like the character of Ahsoka is lingering on too long, but I am interested in seeing what's going to happen. But, the Acolyte was the complete opposite of Andor. And please save me from all the virtue signaling, forced inclusion of groups, political pandering, and waving your finger at us when we didn't like it. Make a good story. Make a good journey and fans will be there and you will make more fans. It's a simple recipe for success.

Question if all the actors in The alcolyte were replaced with white guys would that have made the show any better? My answer would be no, I also dislike the story I also disliked the motives for each character, I hate that all these new stories are based on witches, the dialogue was terrible, you see I'm also a Star Wars fan I'm around 50 years old and I've been watching Star Wars before I was a teenager, my first Star Wars show was on HBO when they would play A New Hope Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the difference is though that I'm black I'm a woman, what really disturbs me people say that the major issue of a show is because the actors are not white or other different race, there's nothing political about trying to get a job, truth is there was some bad acting but not by all the non white actors, but prejudice and the idea of superiority of race is a common theme in the subconscious mind

@@missesmandarin9990 - Changing the cast to white males would have no bearing on the Acolyte's success in my opinion. It was poorly conceived and prepared. I do think that the show creator seemed focused on using the IP (i.e., Star Wars) to make a point and push a personal agenda and it didn't work. You can push themes as George Lucas and Rian Johnson both did, but those attempts were much more successful. I know The Last Jedi was controversial, but the comments on the real life military industrial complex in TLJ was worth saying (in my opinion). The whole layout of the story just didn't work for me. The production cost was very high and without it being a major success, I am not surprised it failed.

Honestly, Andor is the only thing keeping my Star Wars fandom going atm. The other shows suck, the movies have mostly sucked, the books suck, and the latest game sucks. Thank God for the legacy material.

To some degree with you I can agree. I like a lot more of some of the newer stuff than say yourself, but absolutely, I find some periods of the EU/Legends continuity just so damn good.

@@grayflaneur4854 I’m rereading The Lost Tribe of the Sith right now. It’s the perfect Acolyte cleanser.🙂
