Rider’s have kept the western music tradition alive. Been listening since the beginning. Fantastic entertainers, and seem to genuinely nice people.

Ranger Doug, the idol of American youth! I first saw riders in 1982. This youth, who followed him in the early years of his group is now 64 years old and still following him. Thank you. Doug for teaching and adding to our American culture. I will be a fan until my last breath.

I used to watch Riders in the Sky on Saturday mornings. They played Roy Rogers episodes and did wrap arounds. There was a certain aspect about it that reminded me of the Pee Wee Herman show and the Muppets. All these shows entertained children and adults all at the same time. Thanks for letting m wife and I know the answer to the all important question of how the yodel was born. Thank you Ranger Doug. We love you guys.

I had the privilege and Pleasure to work 2 Shows with Riders in The Sky in Telluride, CO, in 1999. I still have the picture that Too Slim took of Ranger Doug and me holding his Stromberg G3 Cutaway Guitar, (the one that he says, "49 or 50, they don't know the date exactly") and with all three of them after the Shows, hanging in my studio. They were absolutely a joy to work with and just hang out with.

When I was young, (1980's) they got me hooked on westerns. I had their albums, sang along to all the songs, and watched a lot of westerns. I still love watching and reading about the west in the 1800's. Then when Red Dead came out, I fell back into the western swing. Wish they would tour closer to Maryland.

He makes any guitar sing. Master of the Stromberg. He told me at one time he had 12 of those. Late 1990s I think. He was also planning to thin that herd. Watta true gent too.

A great look at a great musician but I have one (minor) criticism. To my mind the young interviewer's constant and too-quick responses disturb the "rhythm "of a great storyteller like Doug, and they quickly become annoying. Still very much worth watching.
