I love this!!!! I have my dad's old Mandolin and I think it must be baaaadly out of tune as it sounds nothing like your tune when I try this! I can't play, complete beginner but I so appreciate you taking the time to teach this beautiful instrument and I am determined to learn this lovely tune.

Mars Ipp Wonderful! You should bring your mandolin to a local music shop, and they can probably give you an estimate of what it needs to start sounding it's best, it might only need a new set of strings and a few other simple tune ups. Thanks for watching! You can definitely get this tune, keep at it!

I'll add this to my to do list great job ! I would like to say that it would be helpful for us beginners if you would also tell us the notes in the key of A and the notes you are fretting and not just the fret numbers. thanks so much for your work.

+Adam FUSON explaining keys is a bit bigger of a subject than I can add to any given video, but www.musictheory.net has lots of great info on music theory, and here's a mandolin fretboard map: www.celticguitarmusic.com/mando_fingerboard.htm Thanks for watching!

one issue I am having, when you show each section you start with all down strokes on the right hand. When I went back and looked at the fast version there was down up strokes. So if I am learning slowly I don't want to learn it wrongly so when I build speed it cause is issues. The tab does not show the right hand either. can you help?

Pick direction is very important, but I am not perfect all the time, sometimes I get mixed up playing slow (and sometimes playing fast, haha). This lessons should help: www.mandolessons.com/lessons/techniques-and-fundamentals/pick-direction-how-to-play-reels/ Thanks Baron
