Love that instrument. Great work and fine playing to boot.

Thanks for taking a look at it. I do enjoy watching your steel body resonator build for sure. Cheers!

That curly walnut is amazing. Over here on the west coast it seems like walnut never gets big enough to have the curl in it. The walnut farmers cut them down and replant before they get that big. I bet it is hard to cut. I've bent a lot of walnut sides and it's definitely a slow steady process, it doesn't like to bend. Great build, great playing.

Thanks for commenting. I have had good results with my walnut builds. mostly A model mandolins, but a couple of F's as well. But I have never had a piece that had real strong "fiddle" like curl in it.

Beautiful workmanship and fine wood. Great playing too, I liked the final little burst of bluesy mandolin. Reminiscent of Yank Ratchell.

It is a good tone wood. It is good paired with California red wood.

@@ianshadrick1414 @Ian Shadrick The first A model I built was constructed with a red wood top and a walnut back. There are four others, I believe, after that. they were pretty good. One went to Waycross, Ga. One to Kissemmee, Fl. One to Fremont, Mo. One to Kilgore,Texas. The first one got destroyed. And I quit selling them.
