Great job mate! It's nice to watch this how easy you are doing this. You are profesional so would you help me or give me some advice with my xt 600? I've got a problem with leaking part of crankcase, because the chain broke. Do you think it is possible to weld or something? Oterwise I have to change both of crankcase and do the same job like you do on the movie, but I do not have that knowledge;( This broken part is where the oil goes to the alternator on the top.Thank you in advance.p.s. is it possible to send you a picture of this broken part of crankcase?
@Dave.S.TT6005 жыл бұрын
why don't you try 'Liquid Metal' two part paste..or a (JB WELD) type product. You have nothing much to lose, to try it. and..use a good 520 chain next time and have it correctly tensioned using the Workshop manual specs. Chain tension is taken with No Rider on the bike. PS- Liquid Metal or JB Weld is very, very good and could possibly be a 20,000 km or more solution.

Great job Friend! I have also a Yamaha xt600e of the year 2002, I would like to put a temperature watch, you know where I have to put the cable to measure the temperature of the engine? Thank you in advance!
@Mandricity5 жыл бұрын
Unfortenatly there is no THAT place to measure the RIGHT temp. You could mount the sensor in the return hose to tank. That is a little bit tricky but not impossible. Worst place is the oil drain plug because the sump is "dry" while the engine is running and you would measure more or less the temp of the housing...

Also hab ich alles eingebaut.

I have a 3TB it smokes at startup (a bit) then it clears out. The oil return valve with a ball and spring ? When it's really hot I get a slight smoke on decceleration also ... Don't know if I should start a rebuild just yet ... Your advice ?
@Mandricity6 жыл бұрын
Little smoke at startup could be a sticking oil scraper ring. Smoke at deceleration is mostly worn out valve shaft seal. If the consumption is 1 litre oil on 1000km than you can think of a rebuild.
