They sent me a broken solar kit, asked me for a thousand different types of proof that it was really broken, terrible customer service and failed to return the order. I had a trip scheduled in 15 days after the purchase and I only got my refund more than 1 month after the Pecron was sent! Spend a few more dollars and make sure you are buying from a quality brand that respects its consumers. Try to find the customer service contact number or the return address for your Pecron on the internet, it doesn't exist!!! The worst online shopping experience in my life, Pecron never again.

I have 5 of these pecrons. 3 E2000's and 2 e600's. They changed the display on the last e2000 I bought to what this one has and I hate it. Hey I have never depleted my battery's on these units along with my 2 expandable bats. Should I do that? This e1500 is 699 right now thats insane! Also it has a 5 yr. warranty thats retro if you already bought one. Great review I like the whole honesty thing!!!

I have to say that I love Pecron. I'm a bit OCD so I'm always looking to upgrade the off-grid power system in my camper van. I built out a van into a camper in 2018 and started with a Goal Zero solar generator (I think it was 1250 WHr), but it was an AGM system so I upgraded that to a Bluetti 1700 WHr system which was Li-ion. The Bluetti was bought off of Indiegogo and was the precursor to all of the 2000 watt Bluetti systems. The Bluetti unit was pretty good, but it always used power even with both the AC and DC off. That bugged me as I could easily get a 10% battery drop overnight. I have had a Pecron E3000 for a couple of years and I think it is fantastic. My van is 100% electric. I have a capsule coffee maker, induction hot plate, small microwave, even a 3 qt electric pressure cooker plus the usual stuff like lights, fridge, etc. The E3000 did a great job paired with 400 watts of solar on the roof. Naturally, I'm mindful about power consumption, but I can go on trips for weeks and never have to plug in. So why in the world did I upgrade to the E1500LFP? I could pair it with the EP3000 and gain another 1500 WHr of electric security. I also loved the fact that it had two solar inputs, including a small input that could accept up to 100 watts of solar. Sometimes I park in more shady areas and now I could add a little juice from a standard folding solar panel that I could put directly in the sun. Yes, I know that 100 watts isn't much when you are taking about a 4.5 Kw system, but every watt helps. I also liked its super fast internal charging, as well as its massive 12 volt output. Were any of these additions necessary, and a total justification for the upgrade from the Pecron E3000? Well, not really, but the camper van is my retirement project so it gives me a lot of pleasure to tweak it, and the E3000 is now at home serving as an emergency backup there. I think Pecron makes excellent products that are quality built. I have been very pleased with their units.

Hey Dr Mike, what has the standby power draw on the 12V port been like on this unite for you? I've been having an issue with power stations consuming a lot of power while in standby as well. I've heard about the bluetti batteries draining overnight. I just bought an Oupes Mega 2 that im returning because its 12V port used 1% per hour in battery life while in standby, which is crazy. My Goal Zero Yeti 1500x basically had no standby power loss while its 12V port, only, was active, and about 9W power loss per hour when the AC port is active.

The large solar port says it takes up to 700W. Any reason why Inwouldnt be able to run (3) of their 200W and (1) of their 100W panels in a series and plug in to that port? Prob a Capt. Obvious ? but I want to know for sure before I buy

I alao have this powerstation and have had absolitely no issues with it and I have reached out to Pecron with general questions and they have always responded with answers. You already proved with the coffee maker that the inverter can handle 2200 watts and many other videos show is handling close to 2400 watts before shutting off. To me it looks like you have the hotpot right next to the intake fan and as soon as the water starts to steam it is getting pulled into the powerstation and that is likely causing it to overheat and shutdown. When you retested the final time you had a cover on the pot and it was further away from the intake. I agree with the DC display not showing discharge when also charging but if you use the app you can see DC in and out. Yes when charging it will stay at 100% for a while. I dont see that as a big deal. I'm sure that could be an easy firmware fix. Just my opinion buy i dont like to drain batteries down to 0%. So far i have been very pleased with this powerstation and for the price I think it is hard to beat. Thank you for the review!

the theory might be correct, but should have the TEMP icon should have flash on the LCD? Maybe moist of the steam?
@jamie8917
@jamie8917 4 ай бұрын
@@mrk3676 I agree that the moisture from the steam may be why the temp icon didn't come on. I think typically overheating may take a little time and the gradual increase finally results in the temp icon and the shutdown but the steam is much hotter and who knows how the moisture impacts its operation or the temp sensor. If that is the only time it has shutdown then the theory may be true.

Any thoughts or ideas for adapting a 90 degree elbow on the 700 Watt solar charging input cable (GX165)? Seems like a flimsy connection that sticks straight out & not secure. This is even more of a concern if one is considering using the DC/DC higher wattage converter for charging while driving. Also seems like they are running a large amount of current through that GX16-5 plug?

I don’t get their solar panels with this station. Their 100w has a voc of 24 so you can’t even use it on the 100w input. You also can’t use a combination of their panels to max out the 700w. You’ll be way over the voc. So weird to have these specs but can’t max out the solar input with their panels.

Awesome video. I've heard mixed reviews for other Pecron power stations. As you may have seen in one of my videos, I do run a Bluetti AC180 and also had the meter reading issues. Draining the battery and recharging it seemed to have done the trick in calibrating it.

How can the display be accurate on the battery when it only has 5 lines. That means it only moves when 20% of the battery is used up. Those are not meant to be accurate. They are just an approximation of battery charge state. If you want accuracy, measure the voltage with a Multimeter! Then you will see how fast it is draining...... Between ~48 and ~40 Volts, you have your range. Full and Empty, respectively.

While the full load tests are interesting, It would be more interesting to see how long the battery lasts if you drain the battery with a 20 Amp load. This would give you the Amp-hour capacity of the battery. And we can calculate the average Watt/hour capacity from that. No one should be using these power-stations to run an oven or a coffee maker, because you WILL ruin the battery very fast. And you can make coffee or bake things with Propane stoves way cheaper and easier. I can make pizza with an 18-inch frying pan and a lid. It turns into an oven on propane.

I've a pecron E1500LFP for about a month. The only problem I've had so far is charging with solar panels. The 100 watt connection is fine. The 600 watt side has a 30volt minimum. I Tried 2 200 watt 18 volt panels in paralel and it worked twice. Now it won't work with them at all. I was almost ready to return it. Then I tried a pecron 200 watt panel and it worked fine. I seems to be pretty nitpicky about what panels it will work with. Also the pecron 200 watt panels poot out about 10 watts less than my other 200 panels. The pecron panel is lighter than my other panels but takes up just as much space.

you should maybe then wired the two panel in series to increase the voltage ?
@kings5223
@kings5223 4 ай бұрын
@@LiShingWongThis is the correct answer. A big limitation of the E1500 is the 32v minimum voltage for solar charging. You should wire those 18v panels in series and you'll be fine. The pecron panel worked because it pushes 45 volts with the one panel.
