I am a devotee of Shri Ramakrishna but i have not been able to reconcile with taka mati mati taka. Similarly after deep analysis and conviction that everything exists because Turiya exists is logically true BUT a common person with all their ignorance and conniving nature can shatter our devotion to pieces with a single question....that is IF EVERTHING IS MATI OR UNREAL THEN HAND OVER ALL YOUR PROPERTY TO ME...after such rebuttal from an ordinary person what can we say???? please help me Swamiji....i am a petty devotee of Shri Ramakrishna and i will wait for this answer...thank you ..Hare Ram Hare Krishna Ramkrishna Hare Hare....

Hiii .. Could any one describe me how's silence after om is same as conciouness??? Pllz
@debabratp5 жыл бұрын
The one that experiences silence is witness consciousness. It is not one and the same. For the purpose of illustration in Mandukya Upanishad in OM, A corresponds to waking, U corresponds to dream stage, M corresponds to the deep sleep. After this the silence corresponds to the Turiya or consciousness which pervades all the three states.

Pure awareness devoid of even the ego is Consciousness in its solitude existence from which everything else borrow their momentary existence.

But, saying "I slept like a log" is realized only AFTER I come out of the deep sleep, not during. If there is no sensation during, then why should I, or anyone, aspire to THAT?

Thomas Klugh Of course it's experienced during deep sleep, otherwise you wouldn't remember. Same thing happens in the waking state, the mind never experiences happiness directly. Happiness happens, then the mind shows up and says I am happy.

maclaireful ... Perhaps I worded my thoughts incorrectly. Yes we experience deep sleep while it's happening, but we don't remember it until after it's over.

chandramauly s ... Thank you for responding... However, everyone seems to be suggesting I'm saying something I'm not saying. So, let me try this again: Every Vedantist I have ever heard, or book I've read seems to use the Third State of Deep Sleep to explain and justify the bliss of the Fourth. Not that the Fourth is the same as the Third, but in point of similarity the Fourth is constantly being likened to the Third state of deep sleep. Therein lies my concern. Why should any of us aspire to a stage like the Fourth if the Fourth is likened to a state (the Third) that isn't even describable until we awaken from it? Every description of the Third Deep Sleep is done so only from the vantage point of the First, i.e. after we wake back up. And yet, all talk of the Fourth seems to be in comparison to the Third, a condition none of us can remember until AFTER we leave it. Therein lies my question... Why should we strive for realization when no one anywhere or anywhen can describe it adequately, and it's being compared to a deep, dark, sleep that none of us can remember while it's occurring?
