Mandy is a singer, songwriter and motivational speaker. Mandy lost her hearing due to a connective tissue disorder when she was 18. She was a music major, so this loss was devastating! She wasn't sure what to do next, but her father encouraged her to pursue her singing career anyway.
Mandy works very hard every day to keep her voice in shape and in tune. She has produced three CD's, has performed for many prestigious venues!

Was watching some pbs bit about our senses and stumbled upon this diamond...and it took a moment for me to realize she was deaf because i wasnt really watching tv until i heard her singing. I litterally was in shock. Not only because she is deaf but that she is amazing evn b4 i figured it out ablut her being deaf. Now to her beauty. It only can add to something that is already perfect. Although the best singer to ever sing this song (and most other songs) was Eva Cassidy, I love this version as well. Mandy brings a unique sound to it with her unmistakable tremor. How fortunate we are to have this talent. It would have been nice to hear them do it together. I haven't forgotten Louie either.

I watched her again. Now I love her twice as much. I think this problem will be exponential. But really, honestly, when life gives us lemons we are suppose to make lemonade (like in the current days and times) - but then a saint appears among us, and I'm sorry - for me she is that incredible.
