Understandably missed a great Ricky joke at 1:22:33 because few people outside UK use the term 'Busman's Holiday', but it means where you're supposed to be on vacation or engaging in another activity, but you're essentially still doing what you do for a living. So Ricky's joke is Karl's father working with kids who have learning difficulties and then coming home to Karl. No difference!

Karl's dad and the kid in the wheelie bin. One of the greatest stories from Karl. Unfortunately, I've seen comments on other videos claiming that Karl's dad may have recently passed away. However, I've not seen anything official confirming this, no announcements from Karl or eulogies in newspapers, nothing.
@alexp67127 ай бұрын
Karl’s dad is funny because he and his friends are obviously criminals. Like when he asks for tic tacs, and the uncle “just happens” to have 30 boxes. Those are obviously stolen from some warehouse. Of course, it’s sad if he has passed, although not unexpected. Karl must be past 50 at this point.

For England (not the same thing as the UK), especially anywhere south of the north west, it's tends to be 6 days of sunshine without rain, especially in central & southern England. Plus it's dry, sunny, warm to hot, drought season weather fast approaching & incoming here in the south of England especially.

In this episode they mention the TV Series “Faking It” a lot, and that’s actually really worth watching. Basically they take someone who you wouldn’t expect to be good at something, give them a month-long crash course in it, and then see whether they can fool experienced judges into thinking they’re an expert. Every episode is stand-alone. Particularly good episodes are: punk singer -> orchestral conductor cellist -> club DJ burger-van man -> chef naval officer -> drag artist city lawyer -> garage MC

I don’t think it’s right to say that animals in zoos are usually bad. Modern zoos aren’t seaworld from 40 years ago. That’s looking at it through a very human lens. While some give an indication of stress through stereotypical behaviours, we have to be careful about anthropomorphising animals in an emotional sense. Perhaps a better way of looking at it is that some animals are not suited to captivity because their needs are not able to be met, manifesting in these behaviours. Accredited zoos do wonderful work for conservation and education. They are breeding endangered animals, educating the public about them, even a few species have plans to release them back into the wild. Meanwhile, they are funding outside conservation projects too. AZA zoos donate around $160~ million a year towards conservation programs. There are bad zoos that would be unethical to fund. Before you go to any animal attraction, try to do your research to see if it's accredited. Accreditation will be the easiest way to know if it's a quality zoo or not.

I remember, I think it was in 2015, June of that year, my area went every day (except for one) for that entire month, and it rained 24 hours every day, moderate level rain. Every day except for one, that month. So much rain that I don't even remember the one day that month that didn't rain. I thought it was EVERY day, but the news or something said it was all but one. By the end of that month, I wanted to scream. Also, I seem to have more of the effects of SAD during winter. Once we get to about this part of spring (like today) ... (I know you're in fall now, Mandy), I seem to be happier, and I'm at my happiest during summer. From me serving as a mod on KZbin for some, I came up with this line (used during live streams): "Spam belongs in your stomach, not in chat." It's like how I tell people in those streams, when they beg for subs from the streamers' viewers: "If you want subs, go to Subway."
