My heart hurt and swelled at this. Several years ago, my sister lost her daughter (who had severe cerebral palsy) and Britt's favorite was Winnie the Pooh. They played a snippet of it at her funeral and I wept like a baby. So hard but so true.

And it was so hard to tell them goodbye!(Lost my mother to lung cancer in 1989 & my younger sister to the exact same cancer 20 yrs later! )On July 4th 2009. I then had to have my cat of 18 yrs put down last month, because of mouth cancer.(I hate Cancer!)

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I so loved when Gracie would meow anytime you started cooking. You were blessed with Gracie for 20 years and a couple months ago I lost my furbaby dog Dexter which was 19 years old, he was my little shadow. I also had him cremated and he is always with us. Hey sweet friend. I'm so glad y'all survived Hurricane Helene. We're continuing to pray for those who we're affected by it and those in the path of Hurricane Milton. I ask y'all to please continue to pray for me. I do have a tumor on my left temporal lobe. They still haven't said what size it is, but he did say he doesn't want to do anything with it right now. He wants me to contact him if my headaches get worse, which he did give me a prescription for the headaches. I appreciate all of the prayers and continued prayers. God Bless.

Who else tears up every time she starts talking about Gracie Lou? And now the storm and devastation ?!? 😢 Our hearts go out to you! We went through Hurricane Michael a CAT 5 ( I live in the Panhandle of Florida in Wewahitchka, near Panama City) and we had no power for at least 10 days…. And it was hot and awful…. It took years to rebuild… but God helped us! And the neighborly love in the community was unreal! ❤ 🌀 We weren’t ready for it no one really was…. We were told a 2 at first and then BOOM 💥 it was a 5 ! No time to do anything! Hope and pray your whole family is alright!

Mandy my 22 year-old nephew has been in your area for the last nine days and he is the one that probably got your power on yesterday! He said they were able to turn on 18,000 customers there in your town yesterday. He is tired and heading back home before heading to Florida , but he said everyone there was so nice.

I'm so sorry. I'm a dog person, but there was a special spot in my heart for Gracie Lou. It never gets any easier. They each take a piece of our heart with them when they leave and replace it with a piece of their own heart. Our 14 year old Kinnie passed 2 years ago and even though we have another cat we love with our whole hearts.....it is still horribly painful. I often felt like I couldn't breathe without our Kin. Mellie (Kinnie's younger sister) saved me during the loss and continues to. My heart goes out to you. The loss of a family member is so, so hard. ❤

I live in Anderson County, and I was shocked by the amount of damage from the storm. We had a lot of work in our yard due to fallen limbs (huge) from the pecan trees. Our home was spared, and I am so thankful and blessed. We worked in the yard while the power was off (7days) and actually got the whole yard back in order with a fresh mowing. What I missed the most was cold drinks, hot showers and morning coffee but I do feel foolish saying that when so many people lost everything. I am praying eveyday people get some sort of resolve from their losses and suffering. God bless everyone in the path of the next hurricane Milton.

My heart is utterly broken for those people who lost everything, and the one little town, in particular, that was swept away. My daughter lost her best friend when two trees fell on her house and crushed her. Our hearts are so broken for the loss of such a dear bright person. My prayers went out to everybody and I am so glad that y’all got your power back. I know it had to be very devastated because the Tennessee and North Carolina side was terrible. I live in Tennessee but down in the valley next to the great smoky mountains my close Cades Cove and Gatlinburg pigeon Forge. We’re about 45 minutes from there, but I am so glad that stuff is getting back to normal and my prayers go out to y’all as you do clean up. You too seem like a very sweet happy couple and I’m sorry about your kitty cat, I lost my dog a year ago and I had him cremated. It was so heartbreaking. You get attached to them just like your children. Y’all have a blessed day.
