I laugh at those recipes that call for a just one rib of celery too! I guess bc I’m used to adding equal amounts of carrots and celery. And the same with recipes that have garlic in the title and one little tsp of garlic in the list of ingredients!😂😂 Awe! An old clip with Gracie! I didn’t cry though! I SMILED! It was so good seeing that sweet girl! I keep some chicken bullion granules or cubes around just in case I don’t have the liquid. It’s actually cheaper to make it yourself. Either one cube or one tsp to make one cup of broth. Same with beef.

I loved seeing Gracie Lou...she's in heaven being spoiled by all the cheese she wants!! Re Campbell's Golden Cream of Mushroom Soup...many years ago my Mother had a recipe for Mini Meat Loaves and I want to say it was provided by Campbell's Soup. The recipe used 2 cans of Golden Cream of Mushroom Soup...1 went straight into the hamburger mix of chopped onions, 1 egg and salt and pepper. Instead of baking the meatloaf mix in a loaf pan it called for the mix to be made into "mini meat loaves" equal to a serving size for each person. The mini meat loaves were baked for about 45 minutes to an hour in like a Pyrex dish at 350°. Then she removed the mini meat loaves from the oven, mixed maybe 1/4 cup of the drippings from the Pyrex, discarded any excess, and mixed the other can of Golden Cream of Mushroom Soup with the 1/4 cup of drippings, poured it over the Mini Meat Loaves, returned it to the oven for maybe 15-20 more minutes to heat the gravy. She served the Golden Cream of Mushroom Soup gravy over mashed potatoes with the Mini Meat Loaves. I loved this recipe many moons ago, have made it over the years many times as it has been requested more times that I can remember...hope you find time to make it so you too can enjoy it!!!

Heating the corn tortillas is an easy thing, first spray them with olive or avocado oil on both sides and place them on a sheet pan, then place them in a 400 degree oven for 8 minutes, flipping them over half way through the heating process. This will keep your tortillas pliable and they will hold together better when eating. Don't forget the tortilla warmer, it keeps your heated tortillas warm until dinner is ready to serve. We love your channel and all the shenanigans. And Mrs. Gracie Lou, we pray that you get all the cheese you want in heaven! 😻❤

I'm so bored with my crockpot repertoire, thanks for getting me out of the rut. I love garlic and found a great deal on boneless chicken & thighs recently at this wonderful meat market in Pemberville OH, always shop local if you can the deals can surprise you! So, I needed something to do with them. I'm looking forward to putting the first together Monday while I'm at work. Gracie is so pretty I love seeing her on your videos! You need a robot vac!! 22:16 I loved my basic 2017 iLife v3 robot vac. Alejandro el barrendero knew his map & never lost his marbles retaining the map, consistently cleaned larger spaces before recharge or empty and he had a remote so we could drive him around with cans of pop, playing with the dogs, take off map during program to spots that needed super sweep & he'd go back to where he was in 2017. Alejandro (iLife) gave up in 2022 after serving me at my camp, is so far far superior to my 2021 Shark a self emptying machine should be be better, has more tech. Constantly loses its mind - I have to redo the map about twice a month not my wifi either like the company says, it misses spots so I have to run it much longer than iLife3 (still on Amazon, same price as 2017 WoW). Either saves my busy working OT life so much and even though "Jezebel" Shark is a testy I can say with pets/messy cooking / too much work OT, it saves the day, sits a bit too low to the ground gets stuck on furnace registers, yet too thick to clear dishwasher/couches. Just make sure if you have "messy" pets, run it when you get home from work and do a walkabout to make sure the coast is clear 😊. Jezebel just may go to camp and I'll try iLife's self emptying machine.

So may I make a suggestion?…. If you want to make an easy Pot Pie…. Cook a beef pot roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions. Make sure you have extra for leftovers. Also make sure you have plenty of gravy. Now for your leftovers, chop all the meat, potatoes, carrots and onion. Put your leftover gravy in a pot large enough to add the leftover veggies. Mix until nice and warm. I always add a can of corn to the mixture. Now, either make your own pie crust or buy the premade. Bake until golden brown. If you are worried about the pit crust edges getting too dark, put the foil on first. Take it off when you have at least 20 minutes left of cooking time. I prefer my crust a little on the darker side. Adds flavor.

Fry the corn tortillas for just a few minutes in a little bit of oil on both sides. You want the tortillas to be pliable, you can also fry the tortilla and use 2 for one taco.
@LanceMcCloskey-sq7hd20 сағат бұрын
Corn tortillas: try wetting them before warming. Start the tap over the kitchen sink at a slow pace, but not just dripping. Run each tortilla thru the water at a pretty fast pace so each tortilla gets water for maybe a third of a second. Wrap the pile of tortillas in a fairly wet paper towel. Nuke 30 secs to a min. I do that and don't have a problem with crumbling (unless it cheap tortillas)

@loriemiller21922 күн бұрын
Mandy the answer to your question about the corn tortillas is you do fry them like your husband said but in some kind of oil and not very long. The longer you leave them the crispier they will get. For tacos you mainly just warm them in the pan with a little bit of oil. I pretty much just put them in the pan and then turn them over and take them out. It also depends on how hot the oil is in your pan to how long you leave them for. I usually have it pretty hot before putting the tortillas in. I hope this helps. ❤

My heart .... Gracie Lou Angel Kitty. Turtle Bread LOL. So very funny. Here in TX, a pot of beans is a staple and my mexican born husband eats beans & eggs for breakfast. My Southern self finds that extremely bizarre. I don't like the texture of sun dried tomatoes either Mandy! Easy tip for you friend: Get some Better Than Bullion to keep on hand for small amounts of broth when you're out or don't want to open the entire carton. To keep your corn tortillas from falling apart you can use a dish towel folded and put them in there for 20 - 30 seconds OR heat them in a skillet (or comal) with a little oil.

I grew up on pinto beans. One of my favorite childhood memories is coming home from school on a cold rainy day and walking into the kitchen to find a pot of pinto beans simmering on the stove and homemade bread all over the counters. For tortillas, usually flour for us but sometimes corn, I turn on a burner (gas stove) and toast them for a few minutes. They get a nice charred flavor.

I only add sun-dried tomatoes to hot water if they are truly dry and not in oil. It’s like doing the same with a dried mushroom.

I love Golden Mushroom soup and confess I use it in green bean casserole and tuna/noodle casserole instead of cream of mushroom. It is just so flavorful and adds something extra to them. As to the tortillas; my dad's secret was to 'fry' them, but not for very long - only about 10 - 15 seconds, flip them, 10 - 15 more seconds, all in oil and then blot them on paper towels. This seems to finish the cooking on corn tortillas and they are very bendy and pliable.
@kevinayres9902Күн бұрын
Heat your corn tortillas on a hot dry griddle. about 90 seconds and you should see them kind of bubble then turn over for 60 to 90 seconds. We live in New Mexico and Taco Tuesday is an important meal at our home, so I have done this for many years. Good luck and Thank you for the great video ideas.
@susanpumphrey35418 сағат бұрын
I know this was just a compilation so you may already have a good method, but what I do to heat my corn tortillas is to put them out onto a hot griddle pan, once they start steaming I spritz them with oil, flip them over and spritz the other side, then let them heat for a few seconds on that side and remove. Stack them up on a plate and they'll stay warm and pliable for a while.

Tip: a grapefruit spoon works nicely to scoop out seeds and membranes of hot peppers. The spoon also works great to remove small pieces of egg shell that can accidentally get into slippery whites. Mandy, I have used golden mushroom soup for years in my roast, but to take it up a notch season the meat and flour it and brown it on all sides in a little oil, then put it in your sauce you make, you may have to add a little beef broth or water if it gets to thick, also that soup is good on porkchops, chicken, I will put the meat in a pan with foil, I mix the soup and water or milk pour it over the meat add some mushrooms and onions, cover tightly with foil and bake until very tender, usually about a hour or hour and a half!
